"Best Spontaneous Dance Scene in a Film"

Footloose - Warehouse Scene (1984):

I rest easy at night just thinking that if I ever run into Peter Quill (aka Starlord) that him and I will have just stellar conversations together.

Our first topic of conversation has to be the awesomeness of Footloose.

I could spend all day chatting up Footloose - the Characters, the Clothes, the Music and of course the Dancing.

But Today I am only going to discuss THE Best Spontaneous Dance Scene of all time.

Oh yeah, I'm talking about the Angry Dancing in the Warehouse.

And I already know what you are thinking, "How can any portion of a Movie about Dancing be Spontaneous?" - Well, let me ask you - When was the last time you raged so hard you broke into dance? I say that would be considered spontaneous...

Now, what makes it the best?

To be honest it's the boardline absurdity of the routine: Ren pulling up in his Yellow Bug so he can cool down with some Suds, Smoke, and Song then transitioning into Spats of Flailing, Gyrating and Gymnastics.

Seeing Ren McCormack tear up the Warehouse is Liberating - a True Testament of how people should live their lives - like Nobody is Watching.

The scene brings me utter enjoyment and I am not going to lie I have even attempted to recreate the iconic scene on my college campus... multiple times.

In parting... All I ask is to live your lives just a little more like Ren McCormack especially at Wedding Dances - Even if you're not a "Good" Dancer - just Pull the Stick Out of Your Ass and Celebrate.
