Happy Anidala Week everyone!!! Very excited to participate this year, if you noticed i disappeared the last few days, I've been super busy graduating and on top of that I've been working on getting a good backload of sketches ready for this week.

I did this based off of the thumbnail for the More More Jump! cover of Romeo and Cinderella. It's one of my favorite Vocaloid songs + in a lot of ways it fits anidala so I just had to do it! I didn't want to spend too much time on it because i only had 2 days to make everything I plan for the week so that's why the renderings a bit messy/rushed.

Anidala Week Day 1: Free Day

I decided to transcribe Love Song by Rainer Maria Rilke into Aurebesh. I thought this poem fitted somewhat nicely with Anidala.

(Bonus points if you know Aurebesh well enough that you can read the poem without looking at the original)

sapphic medieval anidala with princess padme and handmaiden anakin… forbidden romance with them, hear me out

I know everyone goes the knight route but there’s something so intimate about anakin growing up with padme, attending her since they were children and being her best friend, by her side all the time but painfully watching her be wed off to someone else…

anakin begging padme the night before her wedding to run away with her; she suggests that the two of them hide in anakin’s hometown and live together without having to hide anymore but padme refuses. She has a duty to her family after all and anakin, being the undiagnosed woman she is, leaves padme after that night because she can’t bear to see the love of her life give herself away to someone who will never love her the same way anakin does

so sad i can't participate in anidala weeks this year. i was super excited when it was announced, and was hoping to participate. However time got the best of me, and i just got back from italy, so jet lag is insane, since it was a fast, 3 day trip. And i don't have the energy to write, considering i have 9 to 5 shows ALL WEEK. but, playing doralee is so fun eek. although i can't participate, i'm still super excited to see what everyone has made :)
