Animar below cut
The full, un-cropped artwork for my Magic: the Gathering - Secret Lair card, Animar, Soul of Elements.
Animar self-bounce (no colorless creatures allowed)
Alright, self-bouncing is fun, so likely plenty of etbs to reuse, fewer pips for the cost reduction... Actually, in your case, I can at least look up a version of the decklist, which should help.
As far as the bouncing, can borrow some tech from standard in Fear and This Town as cheap way to get bounces that are fairly versatile. Ninjutsu is sadly not casting the spell, so it doesn't get reduced by Animar nor does it give a counter, but it's certainly a way to get another bounce. The Ninja Turtle is a decent and cheap Ninjutsu with a relevant effect, and it also likes to be bounced itself to reset its effect.
I'll point Faerie Artisans because it's cheap nowadays, a very fun card, and it works surprisingly well with self-bounce! Faerie Artisans only exile tokens created by this instance of Faerie Artisans, so if you bounce it back after it created a token, you get to keep that token forever. If you can reliably bounce back your things, this makes Faerie Artisans a new random creature your opponent cast last every turn cycle added to your board!
It's also notable that Animar CAN reduce additional costs, such as Kicker, Offspring or Squad (or many others, but wanted all the cards to fit in a line.) Scalable ones like Squad or Thieving Skydiver's Kicker are great here, since it means the card can be useful early to just get a small effect, or late for a big one with the Animar Discount.
Is the colorless restriction for the entire deck, or only creatures? Crystal Shard and Erratic Portal are classic to bounce your own creatures (oh no, you can't pay the one...) but they are colorless. Portal of Sanctuary is the colored version, but can't save your creatures the same way. I will include Equilibrium for the sake of mentioning it, but it will likely go infinite with Animar around and I know that's not something you necessarily want.
And a final batch that self-bounce also allows you to reset counters on a thing, be it to reuse Persist, or reuse a Myojin once Animar has made it nice and cheap. Not that you will need many Myojin activations to close out a game.
Debo admitir que hay veces que decimos no saber el porqué, pero en verdad lo sabemos, decimos no saber porque no queremos aceptar la realidad🧝🏻♂️.
