For canon squicks... I'll settle on the projection of the IDW comics onto my world by many authors. My source is also quite close to what you'll see on screen so fanon influence in general makes me drift away(makes it difficult to approach doubles..).
I did not have empurata inflicted upon me, that was simply my face. I was not exposed to shadowplay, this is simply who I am. I was forged this way and find it deeply uncomfortable when it's implied I'm only like this because someone dug through my helm and made me this way- That I was somehow so uncybertronian that surely I must have been mutilated, that my thoughts could possibly not come naturally.
I respect any idw Shockwave out there, but I am not you. And all that said I believe you have more autonomy than people like to acknowledge.
