It is in times like this that i wish i could animate.

I wish I could bring my concept to life, I wish Lightning could sing, Fillmore could play the bass and Mater could bang on the drums.

I wish i could animate Ramone doing the beautiful guitar solo in all of his Chicano glory, but sadly i can't...

just going to put it all in one post!! a while ago i did a short animation test >:) and it was of this little guy!!! this is little pea :) <3 she is the main character of a fantasy story i was briefly developing for an animated pilot! i'm still interested in maybe turning it into something, and i have other visual development work in progress for her :) <3 but yeah!!

this is little pea. she's one of the last two peacocks left, the others disappeared one day, leaving the world in shambles without it's leaders; or so one would think.

*Goes and listens to Jekyll and Hyde the musical thanks to that one Billford animatic*

*Starts wondering how something like this would work in an “endearing school/ orphanage for monsters” type concept*

*Comes to the conclusion that he would be a protagonist who switches between quiet nerd who looks like a normal kid to hyperactive nerd who has sharp teeth. They have the same goal every episode, but neither likes the other’s approach. Both of them are deeply curious kids, but Jekyll knows the scientific method and Hyde just has the most fuck it we ball attitude (and wants to bite things) that leads to hijinks. I think they would have an adorable dynamic, but also be the best ADHD allegory.*

*Realizes that Hyde, when written like this, has more in common with my ideal self than Jekyll does*

*Begins collecting other monsters to make endearing and put in this show*

*Continues this idea over here*

Some boards for my concept art animatic for my midterm! The assignment was to develop a short story of my choice into a concept for a media project and I chose to do Island of the Immortals (by Ursula K Leguin, incredible read) as an animated feature film :) but I went aquatic with it !!

Concept/Script For A Wish Fan Animation

INT. PALACE - DAY

KING MAGNIFICO walks through the halls of an immense palace full of Disney characters. He comes to a fork in the hallway.

One side leads to a room filled with all the classic Disney heroes. Confidently, MAGNIFICO approaches them, only to have the door slammed in his face.

MAGNIFICO glances at the door leading to the other room, which is full of villains. He gulps nervously and tries to enter the room.

The villains all stare at him, some sneering in disgust, others cruelly laughing. They literally kick him out, slamming the door.

INT. HALLWAY - MOMENTS LATER

MAGNIFICO wanders alone, dejected. A somber version of When You Wish Upon A Star, comprised of wordless female vocals, begins playing.

Looking back and forth between the heroes and villains, MAGNIFICO sighs sadly, his eyes filling with tears.

Suddenly, a hand gently holds his. The music becomes more uplifting. MAGNIFICO turns to see a crowd of people smiling lovingly at him.

As the music reaches a glorious crescendo, MAGNIFICO beams in delight, embraced by his fans in a massive group hug. A tear of happiness runs down his cheek.
