How does a dog walk--or really, any four-legged creature? I’ve collected various cycles of a dog walking, trotting, running, turning, jumping, and so forth. If you’re an animator or illustrator, just save these, and put them all in a folder for future reference.
The first five cycles are from the 1995 feature Balto, the last two are studies from--I believe--Disney’s 101 Dalmatians.
It’s not every day I do the good ol’ frame by frame animation, but I had fun doing this one. Its a mix between the rear legs of a lion and the front arms of a human-ish bear.
Here’s what my last school animation was to show y’all what all I’m doin here in drawing school
