Meet Conductor Candy and Eye of Nodus (or just Node)!
My vision of them (since Animation Versus has yet to come out and we don't know enough of these two) is that they're both immortal beings with Candy originally a mortal part of a digital world before her "canon death" (bc Candy was originally part of a story and she was a background character) but Node interfered and IT gave Candy the same immortality IT has whilst erasing the original story/world that Candy originated from.
They're at odds but mostly one sided as Candy holds a grudge at Node for what IT did and "cursing Candy" but Node sees it as saving Candy from an "undeserving fate" and Node is infatuated with Candy due to Candy's natural kindness. (Candy's last gift to IT before the "canon death" was a faux-train ticket for Node. Hence Node has a pale train ticket on ITs armor)
Node can be described as some sort of digital entity or "BUG" that roams around the space between the Outernet (Basically outside the world boxes). The title Eye of Nodus was mainly to describe how IT was a watcher for unfortunate events. IT was never meant to interfere until Candy was the first one to interact with IT. Node lacks empathy for other beings and IT is only "gentle" with Candy, only wanting her attention and kindness alone (even if Candy scolds IT a lot, it is still deserving attention)
ok but like,
My take on these two demure new sticks 💥💥💥
so that concept art for animation versus right
