summer 2014 through May 2015 was my final year at MassArt and the most intense, so cons and costumes went on the back burner. I’m honestly amazed I got this version of #hiccuphaddock by juliajm15 (tumblr) done at all—i had my first corset did for my couture class, i’d never worked with leather before, and had the worst space for working on costumes and class assignments. i barely got any sleep and cried multiple times trying to get this done for #animeboston2015 the con was right around my birthday but it ended up being kinda shitty. i don’t really like how this costume turned out in the end but the wig is one of my favorite wigs i’ve styled. 🐉 merida: @lilykyrie photo by Stephane Laroche #howtotrainyourdragon #dreameworks

On the left is my first time wearing Sailor Neptune at Anime Boston 2015 and on the right is my most recent at Anime Expo 2016. I can’t believe the difference in the photos. While the costume itself has only gone through a few minor changes, the most change I see is within myself. The pose is the same, but the me on the right is so much more comfortable posing and in my own skin than the the me in the left. It’s such a major and visible difference.
