PERCY JACKSON x NARNIA Guanínké book 1 The Amulet of Kakata Oh my goodness! What was supposed to be a short break turned into . . . Well stuff I guess. A couple other projects were calling to my attention. Meet the goddess Guabancex of Storms. Like with Guacar, Guabancex was a tricky goddess to figure out. She isn't like evil persey, but she is considered an opposing force against Atabey and her son Yúcahu. Guabancex is also considered an opposite of Atabey. Where as the Life Goddess is kind, nurturing, and brings life, Guabancex is anger and violent storms. She even has two sons, also twins, one who brings floods and the other violent winds. So she was a fun character to design. Whereas Atabey has bright colors to her design, I wanted to give Guabancex dark colors. Something that could represent water and nature still, but with the more storms side. The Taínos believed that everything had to be balanced. If there was life, there was also death. If there was the sun that brought light and warmth, there was the moon that brought darkness and cold. Where there was bright days, there was also storms. So although you won't see much of Guabancex in the first book, she will be a force in later ones.
