The two cheer and happily go back to colouring together while eating their snacks.

          "I’ve been wanting to talk to you,” she finally spoke up. Sometimes Maddox came by while Ivy was gone, probably because they felt bad when she was stuck inside alone. She honestly didn’t mind it all too much. There was a lot of death in this city, it felt shrouded in it sometimes. Last thing she needed was to accidentally touch a person and deal with the vision and scream that followed. “In private,” she said to explain why she hadn’t prompted this in the times all three had been together, “I’m not sure your sister would understand.”

          It was late, it was incredibly late. Yeah, it was new years so people tended to party hard and late but Ivy had told her she wasn’t planning on staying long. There was a small pit of worry in Anna’s stomach as she had not heard from the witch in hours. When she heard the door being unlocked, she looked over. Once she saw now just Ivy but also Maddox walk in, both bloodied and bruised, she practically jumped off the couch. “Christ, are you guys okay?” she looked between them, of course keeping her usual distance, “What the hell happened?” Ivy blinked once, looked up at her brother and then started for her room muttering that she needed a shower. Anna watched her walk away, her blue gaze quickly shifting back towards Maddox, questions written all over her face.

          She went to the diner first, of course, she did. She was interested in speaking to the two leaders as fast as possible. All species had a way of sensing the supernatural and soon her presence as a banshee would be acknowledged, her time flying under the radar coming to an end. She needed to talk to them before the vampires came to talk to her. “I’m looking for the owner,” she said the bartender, “Mace Wheeler.” The second of the shifter faction would have to work for now.

           This was where she knew she needed to go. Of course it had been years but she had to start somewhere and her cousin had advised of the two factions were more trustworthy than the others. The wolves and the shifters. So she’d start with Gray Carmichael, who she was assuming was the still the alpha of the werewolves. They weren’t the kind to just change leaders. “Gray Carmichael,” she approached the table and helped herself to a seat, knowing full well he’d probably knew what she was from her scent, “I need to talk to you.”
