Eh, I don't think it would affect people too much if they're not attached to the characters. I do write a lot of angst, but if they don't emotionally care for the characters, I don't think most people would be sad over it. I know some people who would be sad over it anyway just because of the angst and whatnot, but I do kind of understand the viewpoint of not caring too much when you don't know the character enough.

Chocolove used it (if I remember right; I didn't read the chapters. I just went to grab the caps and quotes derp), but Thalim's the one who pointed out it could make a desert. The power of a desert could destroy Thalim's OS, and the power of water could be strong enough to beat Namari if used correctly. Thalim states it's powerful, and he knows it could even change the landscape. Namari doesn't think it's powerful enough to kill him, but it is. The point was kinda that their plants are ironically their weaknesses, thus also saying they're each other's weakness. But both of them made it out strong to the end, and didn't drop the attitude they had up to and through their death (though the last thing we see of Thalim is confidence, which only shows up on his face when he mentions the creation of a desert. He smiled too, when he knew that was something that could beat him. Namari smiled when he realized water was going to beat him).
The point of the panels was their similarity compared to the other Officials. The quotes were of their weakness that beat them, that were essentially each other's plant's power. In other words, they're strong, and in my own world the only thing that could ever hurt them that terribly is each other, and they both understand the strength in each other's power.
In other words, I don't care if they're confirmed canon or not. They're always together in my head. O3O

He was actually Mami and Samy's spirit, so he was still with Gandhara in the main series; we just don't see him because Takei happily and tiredly decided the Gandhara had no overall use to the story and made at least half of them pointless. It's the same person, and he showed up in the Remix tracks too. Generally speaking I wouldn't trust that wiki for anything without proof off the manga FIRST, but I can safely say that yes, he's at least in the remix tracks, and there's information scattered across the fanbooks.
He's a Butsu Zone reference as well, so that might be why you don't recognize him.
