Think you might be letting Palpatine too much off the hook here. Anakin was groomed by him for 15 years. The Jedi were inept. Palpatine was malicious.
Not really, Palpatine’s abuse cannot be used to negate the harm the Order caused. Besides, it’s not a competition. Saying Palpatine did most of the damage is not an acceptable way to get the Order off the hook for their unintentional harm. Yes, Palpatine’s abuse to completely malicious but that doesn’t mean the harm caused by the Jedi – the people who authorized Anakin to spent alone time with Palpatine in the first place – didn’t have any influence on Anakin’s own destructive actions.
Besides, my point wasn’t about who hurt Anakin the most but about how the Jedi Order’s flawed ideology failed him, that’s why I didn’t bother mention him. Beating a dead horse and all that :P

Honestly, the first 2 paragraphs (before the cut) work perfectly as a blurb in this case. This was absolutely lovely. (Just don't ask me about titles XD)
awww, thank you. And titles I have finally sort of beaten, because I have (arbitrarily) decided to use e.e. cummings poems for all my Shadowhunters fic. It is pretentious as fuck, but he gives me Malec feels SO WHATEVER... and also wow, so much less stressful. And I actually remember which one means which fic, which is us... not always the case when I get AO3 emails on my other fic.
Blurbs and tags are still awful. Though I did sort of go with a quote for this one. I think it works? idk. I cannot do an elevator pitch, reason 371938 why I am not a professional writer :D

I’d prefer her to be aroace myself, but I totally agree on wanting them being explicit about her romantic orientation. I mean I currently get the impression that Liv is unaware of the ace label so it might take her a while. (Plus I’m 28 and I still don’t know my romantic orientation so I wouldn’t mind if it took her a while to figure out, but even a mention that she doesn’t know it would be great.)
yes i agree! like, it’s totally cool if she doesn’t know what her romantic orientation is, but i really hope that they mention that, so that people who don’t know much about the aro label and the ace label, understand that someone’s sexual orientation and romantic orientation don’t have to be the same, and that they’re two different things.
