To be honest, I 99% trust this show to do right with whatever ideas it’s throwing in. I mean, we’ve already established that what Rebecca needs is to work on herself first. It’s not about changing Josh to another man because they obviously don’t work together, it’s about proving the point that what she’s having right now with Josh is not what is going to fix her problems. So here’s a new distraction, one that seems more vibrant than her dulling feelings toward Josh so, of course, still attempting to pursue that feeling of genuine happiness, she gets pulled towards it.

And, granted, as much as I don’t care about Nathaniel at this point, it may be interesting to see the show turning upside down this overused archetype of a bad boy or whatever he’s poised as. Granted, separately from Rebecca, so I’m really hoping them distancing from each other is a thing that’s gonna stay (I’d actually be interested in seeing them form some sort of friendship, considering how alike they actually are)
