I 100% agree with you. I thought it was weird for annie to imply it was just once between brio—esp bc she knew about 2.04 and that Rio believed a fake pregnancy? I always thought BOTH Annie and Ruby thought it had been going on a while by the time 2.05 came around.
oh good!!! i’m glad i’m not the only one!! it’s just so strange to me that annie and ruby thought beth ‘i married my first boyfriend and short-circuited at the mere suggestion of hypothetical sex with rio’ boland just... had a casual one time sexual fling with gangfriend of all people??? it also just doesn’t jive with the way they reacted to seeing rio with dylan. like. we know rio and beth only had sex one at that point but we also know that it wasn’t in any way, shape, or form just sex. idk it’s all very messy and i guess it doesn’t actually matter. i’m just happy to know i’m not the only person who thought it was strange that annie and ruby would think that!
i dont know how the trio havent been caught yet. your very specific nail polish is suddenly out of commission and you dont realize something is up? theyre so dumb and they havent learned anything. theyve jsut lost brain cells and commen sense
tbh i don’t think it’s that weird that they didn’t immediately jump to the worst possible conclusion. cosmetics get discontinued ALL the time. i've never been very into makeup and even i can’t count how many times a product i liked just stopped existing, you know?
i can understand being frustrated with it though because it wouldn’t hurt for one of them, at least in the back of their minds, to be like “does this mean anything? should we be concerned?” but then again, why would they? their fbi problem went away with turner’s death as far as they know.
i don’t understand why beth didn’t tell rio about the nail polish though if i’m being honest. like i know she still sort of thinks that if she’s not printing cash for him, she’ll be considered useless and he’ll kill her (them) and i also think there’s a strong possibility that he’d be like “if there’s a problem, put on your big girl panties and fix it” but it was just a weird narrative choice for her to lie to him about his operation being affected by the cost of ink going up and then not tell him about the nail polish. especially since she felt perfectly fine telling him they had to change the formula and it was impossible to go back to the original one.
but then again i think i’m just so desperate for beth and rio to work together instead of against each other (and therefore against themselves) that i’ll over-analyze anything at this point haha
given how close the girls are, it’s weird to me that their families are so separated from each other. i mean beth’s house is basically a timeshare for annie and ruby with how much time they spend there but their kids don’t even play together?? ben doesn’t babysit? harry and jane and emma don’t have playdates?
