So, I love Tumblr. Really I do. All the thoughts and opinions, but I noticed a pattern. While some are conservatives, and others liberals, there is one thing most of us agree on, it is that hate is hate and no body should hate another. But there seems to be a blind-side that a lot of us have. We go on about how homophobia, or trans-phobia, or racism are the bane of our society, and we do our best to destroy these things, but what about the reveres? We like to blame the 'rich white man' or just men or others who we just don't like, but what if we just stop. Think, if hate is really hate no matter what, then why do we ignore it when it is directed at people we don't agree with or like? If hate is really such a negative thing and is destroying what you want, then why not stop it? Don't separate people, unite them. It isn't about the big white man vs. us, whether we are a woman, trans, gay, or black, it is about we, as people, vs. the issue. The issue isn't someone holding us back, it is about us holding ourselves back. As a whole, society likes to blame others for our problems, "It was those damn Republicans" or "those damn Democrats" or "those racist white men", or sexist or what have you. It isn't them, it is us, and while ignoring the problems won't fix jack-shit, why don't we instead focus in actually getting our shit together and fixing it, instead of blaming someone for the problem and demanding they change, why don't we just, go around them. If you are walking on a path and a boulder is in your way, you don't wait for it to move, you go around it. So instead of blaming and finger pointing, just fix it, and don't wait for others to change, because most people don't change once they become 'Adults', They might form new opinions, but most people will never change. I am not saying ignore problems, and I am not saying change is impossible, what I am saying is that to change a problem you need to address the actual problem, because there will always be assholes and bigots, but if you ignore them, you realize that the path is a lot easier to walk, if you go around the Boulders.
