Fingers tapping along her knee lightly, the nervousness was bubbling up on the pit of her stomach. Time was ticking faster than expected and right when she turns her head, she takes notice of the other female's presence with a brow raised. The room was becoming more quiet, the lights were dimmed down. Naeun invited the other to a small party she was forced to go to, relieved that the other complied.
With Melly's hand extended out towards the older female. A soft expression paints along her visage, there's a smile that was fixated in the process and the sound of soft, soothing music allures the both of them. "Can I have this dance?" The young woman inquired with a brow raised, she's quite serious -- despite them well, being both female's but who cares in the first place.
"I can't dance though." Naeun admitted last minute, an embarrassed laugh emitting out of her rosy lips at the thought of her accidentally stepping on her companion. Bumping and getting the movements wrong, she's basically asking for a disaster right now if she doesn't care all that much.
Shaking her head twice, hand was still rising with fingers silently wiggling during the process. "I don't mind, I can teach you anyways." Melly replied back, reaching for the other's hand and right when she pulls back, admitting defeat when her body gives in and stands up on both of her feet. There's a sigh that was pure hesitation written upon it, it shakes a bit but it's only fair to just go along with the process.
How about can it be anyways?
When they stood in front of one another, hands grasping onto another's. It swings from left to right absentmindedly with her head tipping back to the right as the brunette started to peer down at her feet. An explanation slips pass the companion's lips, "Just follow my lead. Simple steps, left, back, right and forward." And Naeun listens, despite her being known as quite a thick headed woman who refuses to give into anything.
She complies by following the movement she was told to do. Left, back, right then forward. And it starts off steady, not wanting to rush the movements and the music was turns into another slow song, it's something Melly knows. So she decides to hum it towards her friend with a bright smile, because she notices how the older woman was actually getting in the hang of it. A couple of bumping in the beginning but it's starting to form into something smooth, they sway and they take turns making the other spin. The people around them stare in awe but they were simply forgotten by the both of them. Naeun wanted to pull her friend into an embrace for such a lending hand but she couldn't at least not right now.
Especially when she hears the words, "By now at least you won't step on your future boyfriend's toes when you dance with him." Causing the older woman to shudder, a playful glare towards the young woman as she laughs in amusement, still slow dancing until the song comes to a complete end.
