Actually my great grandmother on my father' side was Scottish from the Innes Clan. And some relatives of my mom (that isn't really related to me) married some Americans, over-seas and lives there with their half Norwegian/half American children. They have only visited us once and I do not have any contact with them . Since they are technically not related to me, I assume that doesn't count. Apart from that all of my closest family and relatives are Norwegian.

But here is a little history lesson;

Of course even the Vikings had no problems of falling in love while raiding or travelling/trading over-seas and therefore a Norwegian or a Scandinavian living after the Vikings is technically never 100% Norwegian/Scandinavian. All of these neo nazi's (so called "Vigrid" community) that wants to believe that the Vikings were "pure and Aryan and never mixed their race" clearly knows nothing about the actual Vikings. So don't believe them! The Vikings did mix up their race and there is nothing wrong with that!

But to actually answer your question; Ja. Apart from my Scottish great grandmother I am Norwegian. (But probably have mixed genes waaay further back that I do not know of).

Okay, I’ve had a few of these asks so I’m just going to lump them together:

Anon: why do you ship Shance? I thought Klance was the ‘main’ ship? plus u draw klance….u shaklance??

So here’s my answer! 

(Hella long BTW)

My MAIN ship is Shance (Shiro X Lance). Originally I felt guilty shipping Shance. I mean, it’s Lance and Shiro. I hated the idea that I was being a predator and forcing these two together. But then I started thinking. Lance is 17~19. He’s old enough to make his own decisions, smoke and blah blah blah. He could legally go to his parents and tell them that he was in love with a man ~7 years older than him. I had an internal fight about this for a really long time. Putting myself in Lance’s situation and putting myself in Shiro’s situation. I overthought myself making ‘real’ scenarios and such. I deleted my original blog becasue I was attacked for liking Shance and tried to vent to some other shippers who thought I was gross and attacked me having others do so too. I was away from Tumblr for a while and almost gave up on Voltron. But then I made a new tumblr and I followed some Shance blogs and actually started with @sir-scandalous and @ulti-mal . I saw how cute Shiro and Lance could be and that nothing predatory was going on. That I was simply overthinking. I then began to indulge, daring to draw my first official Shance picture a few months ago. I read some Shance fics, incognito and giving kudos as a ‘visitor’ because I was afraid that if I liked them then I’d be judged. But after reading enough I decided that I should come out of the shadows and now I’m here! 

Second on my list is Kidge (Keith X Pidge). I love the dynamic, however, right now it seems to be ignored right now. I think Pidge would be there for Keith more so than any of the others can, she knows what it’s like for family to disappear and she can be there for Keith like no one else can. 

Third Hunay (Hunk X Shay). I mean, come on. Does this one need an explanation?? So pure! 

Also, I teeter on Klance (Keith X Lance). I do like their dynamic some times, but I also feel like it has a chance to be toxic (as do all relationships). I feel the ‘rivalry-to-lover’ cliche is used too much and I would be somewhat angry if DW did this to Voltron. Not paring Keith and Lance, but making them rivals to lovers.

Shidge. Shidge (Shiro X Pidge) is a couple I could get on board with. However, I don’t know if Pidge could be there for Shiro like she’d need to be. Pidge is more reactive like when she wanted to go fly off to space and abandon the team. I would be afraid she’d do that to Shiro (though knowing she wouldn’t, but still….).

Sheith (Shiro X Keith) is okay. I think they have an opportunity to be cute. I’m not saying that their fond looks, shoulder touches, and over all atmosphere around each other aren’t already lovey-dovey but there is WAY more room for romantic growth. Everything in their relationship seems to be underwhelming. Keith finding Shiro. What happened when they got him back to the house? Did Keith have spare clothes for Shiro to wear or did Shiro steal some of Keith’s dad’s clothes? When Keith found Shiro again in season 3. We only have the scene in the bedroom. We don’t have the initial crying and joy of finding him, most likely putting him in a cryopod to be safe, and then him coming out. I feel if Sheith were canon this gives us great opportunity to have flash backs, but this also leaves the most gaps in their relationship. They know each other the most. They’ve probably shared a roof at one point because Keith said Shiro was “Like a brother”, as all of my crushes and people who have confessed to me have said to me. 

Shklance (Shiro X Keith X Lance) I’m kind of alright with. I’ve read some amazing fics, but the thing that bothers me is that most of the cases I’ve seen is that Lance is brought into the relationship because Shiro and Keith “don’t want to work out something so why not bring Lance into it! He’ll fix everything!” and I don’t really like the idea of pulling in another member into the relationship just to try and “fix” it. I did read this one fic, Ah! I’ve looked for it forever because I forgot to bookmark it, but it was where the three were just wanting one another, thinking of holding hands and cuddling and it was just so cute. The whole, like 19 chapter book, was them almost acting but then retracting because “what if” and it was so aggravating! But it was one of the only Shklance fics I really liked because no one was in a relationship. They all wanted each other fully, not trying to “fix” something with another partner added onto it. 

Like I’ve said before, and I’ll say a hundred times. I honestly don’t care what ship “wins”. If it’s healthy and happy, hell Lance and Lotor can be together. I just want my Paladins happy, healthy, and saving the world how they see fit. They’ve been through enough, the least they deserve is happiness. 

The ships I disagree with are the ‘unhealthy’ ones. Where there is abuse, hatred, constant yelling, and just hurting each other (sexually and physically). I know that in a relationship, in general, there will be arguments, but a relationship built on hurting or forcing one another is NOT my cup of tea.
