dee and charlie hung out together the night of their senior prom. he was over the reynolds’ house, they smoked weed, huffed glue, just chilled together
dennis actually does care about dee a lot. this is probably a popular headcanon anyway, but he’s cruel to her because he fears that she may rise above him and abandon him, and he can’t lose her. he also figures that if she hates him anyway, he doesn’t have to worry about disappointing her
dennis and charlie have bonded on their similar trauma. it wasn’t straightforward or anything, but they’ve brought it up around each other, probably while drinking or smth
charlie used to sneak over mac’s a lot as a kid, usually on nights when his uncle would sleep in his bed. mac never questioned it, but he put the pieces together as time went on. he knows how to calm charlie down when he’s having a nightmare, or suffering from night terrors
dee and charlie did theater in high school! they were even in frankenstein together, and though charlie was terrible at remembering his lines, he always remembered the songs. the only times he was confident enough to perform were when dee was there with him; they got through their stage fright together
charlie has perfect pitch. he can also play a song by ear, just from listening to it a few times
