Is there a BTS song lyric about igniting/lighting fires/stars in the heart? I have a distinct memory of coming across it in one of their songs (I think an earlier era) but I can’t remember which one and I can’t find it again. I’m sure I’ve seen it before but feel like I’m going mad because I can’t find it again. Any help you can provide would be amazing. 💜

Maybe Magic shop?? it goes:

and the entire song is filled with these references :)  ( 1 | 2 ) but it’s a pretty recent song…

I'm not sure about 'Confusedness' in idol2, is it means ppl couldn't confused them with other artists or its have another meaning ?

헷갈림, 내겐 사치

It means something like “I can’t afford to be confused”, literal translations from Korean to English tend to be awkward as they are very differently structured languages. A literal translation would be “confusedness, that’s a luxury to me” as in, “I can’t afford it”. It’s a nice play on words when you translate it literally though haha

But I think that in this context, Suga means that he is just being himself, not being confused about what he wants to be or do ^^

Aaah thank you soso much for all your posts. 💕 I always struggled with phrases and finding correct meanings for some words but your blog made it so easy and pushed my Korean to a whole new level. 🙌 I know it's an old song but maybe you could translate Stigma? It's not very long and not too many new words. If not maybe you could at least explain what 묻어두기엔 means? Couldn't find the meaning ANYWHERE. 😢 thanks~

➼ 숨기다 - to be hidden➼ 그저 - only➼ 묻다 - to bury➼ 버티다 - to endure➼ 말하다 - to say➼ 어차피 - anyways➼ 지키다 - to protect, guard

So now for the phrase you wanted me to explain: 묻어두기엔 is composed out of the verb 묻다, grammar ~아/어 두다, and ~기에는.기 is a nominalizator - it makes nouns out of some verbs and then the particles 에 and 는. If you look at it separately it makes better sense to me. ^^

➽ ~아/어 두다 is used to express that an action has been done in advance is still ongoing/continuing   ⇨그 책을 여기 놓아 두세요. - Leave that book here please. 

➽~기에는 is a grammar meaning “for doing…/to do…”   ⇨걷기에는 너무 멀어요. - It’s too far to go by foot.

The meaning of this sentence “그저 묻어두기엔 이젠 버틸 수가 없는 걸.”  would mean something like “For me to leave it burried, (I can’t leave it like that because) I can’t stand it anymore”. It’s kind of awkward in English and you would probably use a completely different formulation when expressing this kind of thought.
