i was reading through some notes from a meeting between two of the gender identity clinics and civil society and alright, so the third point here makes me really fucking mad alright, i mean, they got a lot of damn gall putting it like that, like something that just happened out of the blue for no particular reason in particular, i mean, they removed the option for self referrals (referring yourself to gender affirming care), of course the ammount of referrals went down the year they did that man! they really got a lot of nerve bringing that up that way! i can’t get a referral and be put on the waiting list because of this decision (technically i can but for me it makes it much harder) and they present it like it’s just less people who sent them in! they made it harder to get referred for fucks sake, this was on purpose and exactly the outcome they wanted, though they claim it’s only the sake of syncing up the different clinics to make the system more the same across the country. but then just fucking accept self referrals where you previously did not instead of removing them all together man!

in english the third point which this is about reads “have taken note of less referrals during 2024 than previous years. so far this year, largely comparable to 2024”

9/30/24 | brang Agira and Avnova today. we crochet for hours, hyperfocusing.. we didn't eat drink or go to the bathroom for half the day.... we barley got anything done we redo and redo it. practice will help. we gotta keep trying!!
