When Steph stims he always gets panicky because he can’t really stop himself from moving and gets scared he’s, for some reason, gonna do something bad because he doesn’t feel in control of his own body, and whoever’s around him will just hold his hand, kiss his hand and he just fucking kjndfnjdf that’s his emotion

Hos gets the rest of the tethered into Brooklyn Nine Nine and they 100% project onto respective characters (Hos and Joey with Holt, Anna with Gina, Steph with Jake, J with Amy)

J and Joey had to stay with Hos for two weeks one time because J burned down their house

J goes and takes Charlie out to dog parks every week and sometimes takes him to the beach

What are the tethers personalities?

J is generally very sweet. He likes fantasy genres and early 1900s songs, and is very physically affectionate. Worries and overthinks some stuff and may or may not have OCD.

Steph is reckless and stupid. He likes sci-fi, drinks Way Too Much coffee, posts ominous tumblr posts at 2am and has been strapped to a leash to keep him from being run over multiple times. Very loud and talks a lot. Has ADHD.

Anna is impulsive but usually gets other people to do the dumb stuff. Speaks softly, loves fantasy and murder mystery, works as a fashion designer’s intern/apprentice. Almost got Steph to jump off a cliff once.

Hos is the Mom Friend. He is very tired and is the only one of the tethered with a sense of fashion. Loves action and loves karaoke. Works at a daycare, is generally great with kids and patient. Likes to draw and bake.

Could I have as much j fluff as possible in these trying times please

He’s an overthinker. When he asked is Joey wanted to move in with him he started rambling and got very nervous and Joey just took his hands, kissed his forehead and said he would love to move in with him.

He and Joey are QPP (queer platonic pals) and J always goes to Joey when he’s overthinking or getting nervous about going out with someone (usually steph hueheuhe) and Joey will always take his hands and pepper him in kisses. J will instantly start blushing and will turn into a giggling mess and he’s smiling for the rest of the day/night.

He likes taking someone by the hands and standing up, then dancing around the room with them as a bouncy 1900s song plays in the back.

He loves stealing Steph or Joey’s hoodies and shirts since they’re so big and comfy. He has also on a few occasions stolen Hos’ shirts after staying at his place overnight.

One time Anna caught him playing guitar in the middle of the night at her house playing La Llorona. He is, surprisingly, a lot better at singing than she initially thought.

Anytime he shares a bed with someone he’ll get as close to them as possible. If he knows them well enough (i.e the tethered, Joey, Shawn or Ash) he’ll cuddle into them and wrap his limbs around them because cuddles.

One time he fell asleep using Charlie (his dog) as a pillow. Not as fluffy but I thought it was cute.

Shawn visits him at the shelter he works at pretty often and they get along swell. Naomi and Ash also visit him a lot, and they started volunteering there to talk to him more as well as take care of the animals. He always walks away from their conversations grinning and probably giggling.

The fluffiest thing that j and steph do please

Whenever J or Steph have been called into some place professional or somewhere formal, say for a meeting, a work thing, interview, literally anything, they have to keep physical contact to a minimum. This, of course, is a problem, but it doesn’t stop them.

Steph has a nervous habit of winging his hands and hunching his shoulders when he feels stressed or nervous, and J has a habit of biting his cheek and/or nails. When the other notices this, J will place his hand on Steph’s hands, pull his hands apart and intertwine their fingers. Steph, on the other hand, will take J’s hands, intertwine their fingers, kiss the back of J’s hand and start to talk to him via morse code (something they both learned so they can speak without speaking). When whatever event they’re at is over, they’ll both go to J’s place, curl up on the couch with their limbs very much just tangled up together and they’ll fall asleep like that. When they fall asleep together it’s the most they ever sleep and it’s very nice.

what’re the tethered’s favorite foods and music genres and book/movie genres

J likes fantasy book/movies, cannelloni and generally jazz and classical

Steph likes sci-fi, tamales and no specific music genres, just anything from the 1900s

Hos likes action, samgak-gimbap (these really are amazing please try them it’s worth it) or lasagna and rock, alternative or indie

Anna likes fantasy and murder mystery, baked beans on toast and heavy metal or punk rock

Joey likes mystery and thriller, ube cake rolls and alternative/jazz

Vin likes action and sci-fi, hotdogs and any loud music

How do the tethered cope with nightmares/terrors

Anna has a bunch of stuffed animals that she hugs when she wakes up from a nightmare. The worse the nightmare, the bigger stuffed animal she needs. She’ll also sometimes call J as she’s hugging the stuffie because she likes his voice.

J will go into Joey’s room and crawl under the covers to receive The Cuddles. Joey will wrap his arms around his waist and pepper his face in kisses and J always ends up falling asleep giggling.

Steph usually goes to Teddy’s room to check on her first, then he’ll go to the kitchen and sit there for the rest of the night watching videos that usually make him laugh. Teddy will sometimes wake up and stay up with him, which usually ends in her falling asleep on him and him going and tucking her in again, Teddy will grab his shirt before he can leave, make him read her a bedtime story and he’ll end up falling asleep before she does.

Hos will text Jay when he wakes up, usually he’ll fall asleep texting her but she’s learned that if he texts her at midnight it generally means he’s had a nightmare and he’ll call Bellboy to go over and talk and/or comfort him
