I LOVED THIS EPISODE. IT WAS SOOOO BEAUTIFUL! 😭😭 I did however notice a spoof and haven’t seen anyone mention it so wanted to ask if you saw it. At roughly 41:16-19, Jamie has just been moved to his bed by Ian and roger. And ask he goes to adjust himself on the bed he moves the blanket and the viewer can clearly see him wearing Sam’s black boxers with red writing. Am I crazy? It’s so quick you can miss it but they didn’t catch it in the editing room! It threw me out of the episode for a min.

But that aside, your first two sentences are SPOT. ON. This was one of the best episodes of the season so far and even one of the best of the series. In my recap I called it “Outlander epicness” because this episode is everything that’s good about the show. Jamie x Claire front and center with an incredible secondary ensemble cast, all while including and effectively using great book content ✔️✔️✔️ Season 5 has been killing it so far and I’m so happy about it!

My theory is this master DOES come after Missy - Missy went through chara development, regenerates, goes to Gallifrey to make amends/maybe try to live a normal life, is TRAUMATISED by something on Galifrey that we’ve yet to find out about and goes a little mad. I could be totally wrong but this Master seems like he has a deep unhappiness in him that he’s trying to keep reined in

I could totally see that. But we’d have to have a very good explanation, maybe some flashbacks (I’d die to see Michelle back) of Missy getting out of the ship (maybe puddle!bill saved her?). I just hope they don’t go with the same redemption storyline they gave Missy, I need something fresh (hopefully they won’t make him another Simm either, I’d hate that more than the Missy rehash). Maybe he’s realized, even after the whole Missy character development, that that’s just not who he wants to be, but like, differently than Simm!master because of the whole Missy journey. Idk man.

On the same note, I’d rather him come before Missy because her time in the vault would take a whole other level. Imagine her being stuck in the vault and having to come to terms with what she did and not even being able to tell twelve. The angst potential makes me lean towards this more.

Honestly, I’m excited either way.

Also, I’m strangely very excited for “The Brothers Hook”! I was listening to the OST the other day, and “I’ve Got a Dream” came on, and I suddenly started missing Hook Hand a lot. It’ll be so good to see him again!

its a shame that they forgot that the blossoms paid the lodges, and have done since 75 years. also in 1x09 when archie hears clifford and penelope talk and she says they should gave imprison hermione and not hiram, it would have been a great foreshadowing

I’m not sure exactly what you mean by that. 

the mob reveal explains those payments whereas before it was such a plot-hole. Not to mention, right now the blossoms have no money so I don’t see how they would have brought that up now, or why it would even matter now.

Penelope and Clifford saying that they should have sent Hermione to jail was more about them discussing how dangerous and resilient she is even without Hiram.
