Anson Carter, I don't fully disagree with your comments. We do need to do more than protest. Acton matters.

However, the league just acknowledging "black lives matter" is not enough. They have done nothing of action other than rely on POC players to speak for them. The very fact that NBC asked you to give your opinion rather than the white anchors is indicative of the problem. We keep putting the responsibility on POC to fight. POC have given us the resources and speeches. It is time for white individuals to stop asking and start listening. What they wanted from you was a black man's blessing to play to absolve themselves of guilt.

Players on the NBA, WNBA, Tennis, are asking for their organization to do more. It's a call to action and that's why protests matter. Had NHL players, largely white members, done the same,it would have really amplified the message.
