Ok so I was reading reviews of Reply 1988 and even though i loved it,I was looking at the lowest rated reviews and this one person said Taek was creepy with his slow facial expressions like the sloth from Zootopia

–Fuera de lo que usualmente miro, Reply 1988 me sorprendió totalmente. Con 20 episodios de hora y media de duración, conocemos un sinfín de personajes totalmente diferentes, originales y muy divertidos. Si bien S u n g D e o k S u n es quien lleva la batuta en todos los episodios, es imposible reconocerla como única protagonista.
En un barrio, un grupo de amigos deben experimentar la juventud de los años 1988. Allí sucederán los primeros amores, amores que duran para siempre y nuevos lazos familiares. Cada personaje pasará por dificultades distintas pero lo que siempre va a permanecer es el amor en el barrio.
–Esta serie me recuerda un poco a how i met your mother porque conocemos de primera que Sung Deok Sun se casa con alguno de los chicos y siempre está la cosilla de quién será, hasta que por fin en los últimos episodios conocemos al indicado. Lo cual, hace a la serie mil veces más interesante. Creo que por esa razón no me importaba estar pegada en la pantalla de la televisión hora y media.
–Por supuesto que ese no es el único motivo. Cada personaje fue especial, divertido y capaz de ganar tú corazón. Estaba tan inmersa en cada uno que me es imposible escoger un favorito.
–Me encantan las referencias de la época, porque conocemos más de Corea del sur y su pasado. No obstante, como me la vi en Netflix, este difuminó muchas de estas referencias por derechos (?) no tengo idea. Es un toque que al verla ahí pierde mucha esencia. De todas maneras no dejé que esto me impidiera cogerle el gusto.
–Algunos no estuvieron de acuerdo con la desición de Sung Deok Sun, pero, si les soy sincera, yo soy muy feliz y ya me lo veía venir desde hace un tiempo por el comentario de mi mejor amiga. Además es justo, cuando pierdes una oportunidad, la pierdes y alguien más la toma.

–Reply1988 es una serie ideal para reír, para llorar y sacar nuestro lado romántico. Pero sobre todas las cosas es sobre la amistad y el cómo nunca, ni siquiera por amor, debemos perderla.

This has to be the best drama I have watched so far which is really close to my heart. I'm literally crying and living the drama again while I'm writing this.
If you are new to this whole Korean drama culture, then I would totally recommend you to watch this series as a start-off. Love, family, comedy, sentiment, friendship, drama- name anything, you will find in this drama.
Plot: Reply 1988 (also known as Answer Me 1988) tells the story of five families who live on the same street in Seoul in 1988. It mainly focuses on the friendship and the relationship that each person have towards each other.
There is such a strong friendship between 5 teens who are about to finish school and trying to find their dreams. Also, the family of these kids are so super close and they live close to each other. You will go crazy into each character. Every story has a love string and this too shows how these teens handle the love amidst bromance, friendship and family chaos.
Though the runtime is too long for each episode, you won't feel the drag anywhere and at any place. Guys, I'm telling you would literally live with these families while you are watching it. Such a strong characterization and acting by each actor. Although I had a little ick for the climax, I really wanted a different climax altogether(I'm not going to be a spoiler here telling you the climax). After watching the drama, I went to Instagram followed all of their profiles and went to youtube for the off-screen bloopers. That much I had gone head over heels for this drama.Ok, I'm going to shut my mouth at this point and I totally recommend this to you.
