Antelope park, Gweru, Zimbabwe- Our first activity was the lion feeding and there was nothing but a barb wire fence dividing us and the 5 fully grown lions charging towards us to reach their meat just cm away. My hands started shaking as I filmed them bolting towards us at full speed jumping on the carcass laid out on the ground directly on the other side of the fence. Listening to them roar and moan and attack one another over the food presented just in front of our eyes was surreal and we were told about how this activity was used to help them decide which male would be used for breeding due to it showing dominance within the group of males.
