11. What’s your ideal date?

I meet you at the intended meeting spot at 6.40. I apologize for being 10 minutes late. You don’t ask me what I’d like to do because you know me well enough that you’ve already planned our night based on what we both like. We’re 5 minutes ahead of schedule because you anticipated I’d be late, and you think I wouldn’t realise . Our food is good, we both take pictures of it to put on our Instagram stories, artfully making sure faces aren’t visible but maybe you see a hand in there to show you’re not alone. We have a nice night full of conversation that doesn’t hit an uncomfortable lull of silence that must be filled with words. We have good banter, we’re comfortable with each other and I trust you enough to let you drive me home. I say we should do this again soon and you say you’ll text me soon. I enter my front gate, and before I even turn the key into my front door, I see a text from you. You’re still sitting in the car in front of my house. We have another date again the next day.
