"Anthrodynia (an-thro-DIN-ee-uh) is a rare and haunting word that speaks directly to the heart of the sensitive soul. It means the pain or sorrow caused by humanity—its cruelty, injustice, or apathy. Not just personal pain, but the ache you feel when you witness the suffering of others or the fractures in society that never seem to heal.
Origin: The word is formed from Greek roots “anthropos” meaning human, and “odynē” meaning pain. Together, it becomes a poetic diagnosis for those who carry the burden of empathy."
This feeling echoes through the words of poets like Rainer Maria Rilke and the silent grief of artists like Van Gogh. It resonates with the philosophies of compassion in Buddhism and the existential concerns in Dostoevsky’s writing. Anthrodynia is not weakness—it is the fierce sensitivity of a heart still awake in a world grown numb."
This one is a very short game that was submitted into the O2A2 VN Jam, but it does have themes of yanderes in it. I gotta say though, the one soundtrack it has is super banging. There are five endings in total for this game. It probably doesn't take longer than maybe 5 minutes to play. Still a pretty good r18 game.
The story starts out with the main character walking back from work. They've been walking back the same route for ages now and bumps into someone by accident. He apologizes.
Being nice will lead him to inviting the player out for a drink. Accepting it, the player gets to learn about Wyn, while denying it will lead to him asking for the player's number. Accepting will lead to Wyn putting in his number, with the player very paranoidly walking away, feeling that he was very persistent. Rejecting it will lead to Wyn awkwardly accepting it, but with the player feeling his eyes watching them as they walk away.
Being mean will lead to him asking the player out for a drink but much more awkwardly or the player's number. Annoyedly, the player can accept, and while leaving, the player is annoyed at this guy who seems to have kept on harassing you. Denying it will lead to Wyn chloroforming them.
Like I said, very short game. Wyn seems to have been following the player for quite a while as shown in the more annoyed ending where they seem to have given up with trying to run away from him. Wyn also seems to have been practicing this as when the player is rude to him, he seems a lot more nervous as if he didn't expect this outcome. The most obvious case of this is when Wyn ends up chloroforming them when they try to get away. There is a bit of glitch in the first ending where the Persistent ending where the second ending shows up as well. The pixel art I think looks very nice with the style of the game and I like the way the UI looks.
Overall, a good and short game. I'm not sure if the creator will expand on this game or not since it would be pretty cool to learn about Wyn, but as it stands, it feels much like a passing moment when walking home in the same route.
