Finally reading The Dictionary of Obscure Sorrows

So I've got this new book, The Dictionary Of Obscure Sorrows by John Koenig, and theres a definition in it that really speaks to me, so I wrote a piece of writing based on the word.

The aubadoir shifted around me, not quite settling into its environment. My barren eyes blinked into focus just in time with the hands of fate. Life wasn't quite over yet. The clocks would keep turning and the world would eventually stir awake. A sickening part of me hated that. Why does 5am have to come? Why do I have to face society as I have all those years beforehand? Why can't I lay here, in my own serene paradise that never reaches past dawn? I suppose I’ll never know. Just more unanswered questions that will eventually drift away into the sea.
