Growing up on ttg and finding beast boy annoying then getting older and getting into the comics to find out he’s insufferable and many people hate him (at least on the side of the fandom I’m on) has been so gratifying thanks guys

God, Beast Boy really rubs me the wrong way. You know, I can't blame Mento for disliking him. I dislike him too. He's just...his attitude really bothers me. This kid has no respect for anyone! I can't help but dislike him. (Doom Patrol #106):

BBRae relationship last season was great to watch. Loved their little moments where they would laugh, have fun, and enjoy each others company. It was so sweet & I shipped them ❤. This season however is just annoying. Most of the time they fight and Raven always seems to have an attitude . This has nothing to do with her 'darkness & glowing red eyes' that likes to make a guest appearance every now & then. BBRae started out great in the beginning of this season but over time it started to go down. I guess we'll see what the writers plan to do with BBRae relationship this season. BRING BACK THE BBRAE HAPPINESS!!!!!

I'm just gonna be honest: the Doom Patrol gets worse for me once Mento and Beast Boy become recurring characters. We have the snob who insults everyone around him, and we have a teenager who disrespects authority and talks back to everyone around him. Neither one of these characters feels fun or relatable, and I wish the Doom Patrol had just stuck with its core 4. The Chief, Elasti-Girl, Robotman and Negative Man are great. But Mento and Beast Boy significantly downgrade this book. If you told me they're the reason the thing got cancelled, I'd believe you. Because I really don't like either character. So now I'm just trying to grin and bear it as I make myself read their stuff.
