i’m being completely honest when i say this, but kate and simon should’ve never been in fear street. i don’t care if they were valuable to the plot, but since the movie’s come out, you guys have made the franchise all about them. you guys have been blaming sam and deena for their deaths, when THEY chose to stay and help. it’s not deena’s fault that kate got turned into sliced meat, and it’s not sam’s fault that simon stopped running when he shouldn’t have. the entire point of the trilogy was about lesbians being blamed for problems that straight white people caused. y’all are just proving the point even further. and yeah, i might get and hate and lose followers, but kate and simon ruined 1994 for me. Kate was selfish, rude towards sam for no reason, and thought that being rude to everyone but her friends was a personality trait. simon was literally useless and the comic relief. sue me, but i’m tired of innocent female protagonists being blamed for everyone’s annoying favorite side character’s demise.
