At first I rolled my eyes at Ressler. Not because of himself, really, but because they seemed to be making him this jerk jock type character who would be unrealistically outwitted by the new girl who had been on the job for five seconds. And I was just like, oh brother.

My opinion changed in Wujing. Him being pissed off at the CIA for having this civilian noob do this dangerous mission. And I was like, whadaya know? A bit of nuance.

He’s been doing this for awhile, he knows how bloody and dangerous it is, and he’s not a fan of noobs of any stripe being tossed into firefights they’re not prepared for. And he gets the crap kicked out of him in Wujing to kind of drive home that point. 

I liked watching him and Meera work together as the old hats. At first being suspicious of Liz, understandably, given that Reddington asked for her. Dressing her down when she makes newbie mistakes. But then at the end being trusted with the Tom information and supporting her when she wants to quit and effectively dissolve task force. 

And then the Audrey stuff, and all. Yeah. They drew some nice shadows on his face to give him a bit of depth. 

Lately it’s been... unimaginative?

I had hopes after Esteban. And they eventually did bring that full circle. Now makes a deal with Laurel. But the journey from 1 to 22 was ... eh. Was there a journey?

And if they do another scene where we have Ressler pointing his gun at someone while we’re all supposed to go, “will he or won’t he pull the trigger?” I think I’m gonna just skip ahead.

Why is it a thing to to say that Regulus Black is better than Severus Snape?They both made mistakes and both died in the end for the sake of good. Severus Snape is such a complex character on so many levels and reducing him to ´Friendzone™ Snape´ is completely unfair to him. And Regulus Black, god he´s adored in this fandom (I loved him, personally) but you can´t take a character that there is so little known about and say he´s better than a character as the likes of Severus Snape. If you re-look at canon, there is little to no basis to prove this what-so-ever. I´m not saying to hate Regulus or anything but don´t take this character and use him as a ´reason´ why Severus Snape should be utterly despised by everyone and anyone.
