LMAOOOOO to be fair, I will be the first to say Michael is nowhere near as bad as Brandon. Michael pisses me off more because of how everyone reacts to him/treats him like he’s perfect. He’s not actually worse than other people on the show, but the show won’t acknowledge that he’s just as bad as them and that’s where I’m like uggggh.

Brandon ACTIVELY pisses me off, like everyone could hate him on the show and I’d still be like LEAVE, why are you HERE, what tf do you CONTRIBUTE? 90% of his storylines are about him going after girls he wants to save while still really wanting to bone his sister because they fell in deep star-crossed teen love in all of 3 episodes and no one ~understands~ how hard it is to get over that (even though honestly they’re like not even compatible!?) and ugh. Ugh. UGH. His sullen half-lidded stare legit makes me throw shit at my screen. This seventeen year old kid in high school told his INCREDIBLE UNDERSTANDING WONDERFUL moms that he was dating a twenty-something-old mother (i.e. potential for statutory rape) with a bratty ass ‘it’s NOT up for discussion’ and stormed off and spent his college fund money on buying her a house to live in with her kid WITHOUT ASKING because it’s HIS money (it’s not) and he’s SO MATURE and he can think for himself and *this is a direct quote a day after turning 18* “I CAN VOTE!” and like. Kill me.

Nah, man. Nah.

Give me 6000 Michaels any day of the week.

You are the only person I have seen that hates Michael. Everyone else is saying JTV is canceled or ended last episode.

It’s funny because most people I know in real life hate Michael? Or if not hate, just find him grating. tbh I think a lot of people who don’t like him checked out midway through season 2, but tumblr’s definitely really into him.

And the Michael worship continues in 2x13 Jesus Lord this show is so heavy-handed. Like I’m struggling here - not a single character outside of Rafa checks his ‘angel’ image and we all know Rafa’s biased so it doesn’t even hold water. Like is Rafael overblowing the threat Michael poses to his family because he’s upset/jealous Jane’s bringing Michael back into the mix? Yes. Is Michael pretending to feel so deeply sorry about turning into a rage ball and punching Rafael when really he just wants Jane back and knows that upset her? Yes. And yet the former is called out and the latter isn’t. I’m????

Like Rafael’s the bad guy for not forgiving Michael and letting his jealousy cloud his ability to forgive him, and the show makes that super clear, but Michael’s being a disingenuous little shit again by acting so sorry and so ‘changed’ (what the hell did that even mean though, when Jane told Rafa Michael ‘had changed’ like wtf you gleaned that in a night of flirting and yet a year of Rafa being an amazing dad still hasn’t changed the minds of the entire Villanueva clan re: Rafa?) Like let’s be honest, Michael doesn’t give a fuck about punching Rafa, and that’s FINE, it’s okay to hate him, but it pisses me off so immensely that they try to paint it like Michael feels so genuinely sorry. Rafa is open about not liking Michael, not wanting him around, not caring to play nice, and meanwhile Michael acts like he’s the peaceful pacifist when obviously he fucking hates Rafa too. I do not ship Jane and Rafa but I like that Rafa doesn’t do whatever Jane wants, man - he fights back if he disagrees and makes his opinions known. Michael, meanwhile, seems to just literally do whatever he thinks Jane wants (he even used an apology that she wrote for him like JFC) while secretly thinking/feeling other things and that’s why I can’t get behind this dude. If he was called out for it, he could join my basket of flawed assholes that I love, but when he’s worshipped for it? Blaaah.

Like jesus Michael, just say you feel terrible about Mateo but that you don’t give a fuck about Rafa. JUST SAY IT. Like the second Rafa pushes back during the apology you see the true colors - rubbing the ‘she chose me’ in his face, sneering at him - no shit, you don’t like him, you don’t feel bad for punching him, cool, neither would I? But can the show please stop with the ‘Michael’s such a good guy!’ for being a shady people pleaser while dragging Rafa for being upfront about the way he feels about shit, because lord. They both are flawed af.
