I just saw something today so disgusting and racist that it really shocked me to the core.

I saw a youtube video where an indian (south asian) middle-class vegan guy is explaining why he thinks allowing indigenous people to hunt is "eco-fascist" in his view.

He says that its because his definition of "eco-fascism" is allowing the oppression of individuals in the name of conserving the environment, and allowing indigenous people to hunt is hurting "non human animals".

I really want to slap this guy. Hard. Hard enough to break every bone in both my hands, and then some.

This middle class guy is literally incapable of comprehending why communities with no regular access to clean water, often live in food deserts or the north where agriculture isnt feasible would need hunting to feed themselves.

Plus, veganism and vegetarianism is often a way for upper caste hindus to oppress outcastes and muslims in India. This guy says hes an atheist, although that doesnt mean shit if hes enforcing the same bullshit as far right hindutva clods.

Im going to fucking scream Theres been an ongoing effort to rename a street in my county called "indio muerto" aka dead indian bc they found a dead indian there on some expedition These fucking people write to the newspaper about how "people these days get so offended!!!1!1" This morning they let someone have a full opinion column talking about how it should be a reminder if all the "dead native americans" that suffered, as if were not still here!! So it was one of those days where im taken aback by the inherent racism that still exists This pic comes from a how to learn to make manga book, this is the representation natives get in these books, It is inherently offensive specially for native women because this type of image sexualizes and objectifies them and it is problematic. Someone approved this image and they published it. the whole book was a mess it depicted women like this all over it but this one called my attention specially because it was blatantly racist. This was the ONLY native american depicted in the book of course they changed the name just to make it less offensive but it is obvious this is supposed to be a native.

the different excuses ive gotten for dylan obrien stealing native artefacts from a sacred burial ground after being told not to touch anything:

-he didnt know

-he apologised

-it was a cover up for set accidents

-he didnt actually steal anything

-he stole it but returned it

-he only touched things didnt take them

It’s frustrating and upsetting to read about the atrocities committed by white people on Native Americans/American Indians/First Peoples. Imagine how much worse it must be to have that be your familial and cultural history.
