Re my previous post: I mean there are more and more Narusaku fans nowadays, in my experience, who are very vocal about how their ship "was meant to be" and they blame sasuke for ruining their ship lol
There was one other ask about this but I accidentally deleted the ask lol but it was about this same video.
"Valid connection" "Rock solid friendship" "Easily build into something more romantic".
Are you sure about that?
"The mutual ambitions and similarities they share"
You mean their obsession with Sasuke? But she does use Sakura asking Tsunade train her as an argument, cos Sakura wants to be able to retrieve Sasuke TOGETHER with Naruto. But that's more about Sasuke. She just doesn't want to be left behind. It's not about her wanting to bond with Naruto. Naruto is not the priority here.
Also, I have mentioned this many times in my numerous anti-ss posts, but Sakura takes her family for granted, and family means the world to Naruto and Sasuke both. To Naruto because he had none, and to Sasuke because he lost his family. The fact Sakura even when Sasuke was leaving was telling him how she's just as lonely as he is even if she has a family, just tells how she can't understand either of them on this matter, because she lacks empathy and is just too ungrateful.
"The balanced personalities that complement each other"
"Naruto is a libra and Sakura is an aries---"
Not her bringing up zodiac as an argument on why they are compatible. See sns, this is what happens when people take the zodiac too seriously. So y'all need to stop taking it too seriously too and just focus on what the manga shows you. And does this girl care that Leo and Aries are compatible too while she keeps saying how awful Sasuke and Sakura are for each other? I rest my case.
I also feel Naruto's personality seems to annoy Sakura a lot, and not in a cute tsundere way.
"Naruto and Sakura spend so much time together in the manga, far more than Sasuke and Sakura and Naruto and Hinata"
Low standards is a crime, SS and NH are low bar and just because Narsak interact more doesn't make them a good relationship, let alone a romantic one. I would argue it works against them, because they had more time yet no proper development outside of Sasuke.
"Even after timeskip, they actively work on their teamwork, they share their struggles and witness each others personal growth"
In part 2, obviously Sakura sees Naruto's growth, it's not that hard to see how strong he is. It's usually Kakashi commenting on how fast Naruto progresses. Every character sees it. And Kishi makes sure couple characters comment on Sakura's growth, yet then humiliates her later.
They had one challenge with Kakashi, but after that I don't really see them work on their teamwork. It was mostly them fighting on their own (Kazekage rescue arc), or Sakura getting knocked out or almost killed.
"Has Naruto and Sakura see each other for who they are"
And yet, Sakura thought Naruto was chasing after Sasuke for her and thought confessing her "love" for him would make him stop chasing after Sasuke! That's how little she knew him! Even Shizune understood him more lol.
"Mutual respect, admiration and understanding"
She keeps yapping about understanding but there is nothing Sakura has thought or understood about Naruto that many other side characters hadn't understood. "Naruto you keep fighting for us" like yes she's a mouthpiece for what everyone thinks. Shikamaru has plenty of thoughts about how Naruto is great and stuff. And as I said above she thought confessing to Naruto would make him give up on chasing Sasuke!!! Naruto always wanted save Sasuke for Sasuke's sake, the promise was nothing but a way to make Sakura feel more at ease when she was crying. So Sakura spend like 470 chapters not understanding Naruto's actual motivations. She finds out because Naruto realizes he has to tell it to her bluntly.
Respect... I find it pretty low how she was ready to dump Naruto to go with Sasuke, yet when she failed she went to him and begged him to bring Sasuke back. Eventhough she til then had treated Naruto like an inferior. As I said in part 2 she does see his growth.
The argument that Naruto supports Sakura and believes in her unlike Sasuke is true, but he also supports Hinata. That's just who he is.
"They both understand what it's like to be bullied and underrestimated"
And Sakura herself bullied Naruto and Sasuke had to tell her off. But Sakura wasn't even underrestimated, Kakashi kept yapping how she's the smart one in the team, despite her never showcasing it during serious situations. The reason she felt like she was behind Naruto and Sasuke was because she WAS lagging behind them. And Sakura being clanless is never brought up as an issue for her in the manga. Never. So people need to stop bringing that up as an argument.
"Naruto shot himself in the foot when he assumed everything Sakura said in her confession scene was a lie"
I thought you said Naruto and Sakura understand each other?
"Sakura grounds Naruto to be less reckless"
Sakura is far more reckless than Naruto is, and the multiple times her misguided actions led to Naruto, Kakashi or Yamato having to save her is proof of that.
All the claims about Naruto and Sakura inspiring each other and understanding each other and so on fit Naruto and Sasuke obviously more. It is constantly acknowledged in the manga that Sasuke is what inspires and drives Naruto forward. Naruto's fast progress and even him creating a jutsu is inspired by Sasuke. Sakura is an afterthought to Naruto. But because Naruto and Sasuke are both men this girl is obviously going to ignore all that.
The fact she uses this moment as a poignant one, when this was just another damsel moment for Sakura... tsk tsk. Naruto has saved her many times, so obviously it's him she's gonna call. I don't get why this is such a great moment. Naruto is everyone's hope, not just hers. Like I mentioned before there is nothing about Naruto she understands or knows that many other people also don't know. Unlike Sasuke, who knew Naruto was acting out because he wanted connection. Who knew shadow clones were a reflection of Naruto's loneliness. Sasuke saw value in Naruto's vulnerable parts, not just the hero part. Sasuke is the one who always saw Naruto as who he is, not Sakura. This is why Naruto always said Sasuke is the one who saved him and accepted him more than anyone else, not Sakura.
"Sai clocked Naruto's feelings for Sakura"
Naruto answered to Sai that he can't tell Sakura he likes her because he hasn't fulfilled his promise, so obviously Sai is gonna think Naruto likes her. But literally in that same arc, Naruto tells Sakura the promise does not matter. When Sai tells Sakura "even I can tell Naruto loves you" what is Naruto doing in the same chapter? Brainrotting about Sasuke. Very subtle Kishi. These people don't understand how Kishi works. Naruto's reaction to Sakura's fake confession isn't even the one of a guy in love. He seems mostly annoyed and frustrated at Sakura's silly antics, not heartbroken. He is thinking about Sasuke, Sakura is just not his priority at all.
"Most self-sacrificing actions he performs"
I think you mean Naruto promising Sasuke that he would die with him rather than let Sasuke be alone is one of the most self-sacrificing action he performs. He was literally ready to leave everyone else behind, including Sakura, and bury his life long dream as well. For Sasuke.
"Kishimoto was saddened by the hate Sakura got for her confession to Naruto"
Kishi literally called her a despicable chick who is using Naruto's goodwill when he was asked about that scene lol.
I have never heard of the interview she refers to, and I don't think @badgalsasuke (you don't have to reblog/reply I just like using the @) has posted such an interview either.
Aaand using this scene... when he literally admits when Minato is leaving that he hasn't found a girl like her mother wanted. This was just him trying to look good in front of his dad. Like this girl argues that Naruto is sacrificing his happiness to be with Sakura, yet doesn't see how much this scene contradicts that statement? Lol.
And the Sakura and Kushina parallels. Kushina is just not like Sakura, only some superficial similarities are there. What really parallels minakushi is the narusasu relationship. The only one to not give up on Kushina was Minato, he was the only one who cared enough, just like Sasuke acknowledged only Naruto never gave up on him. And Kishi made clear parallel between Minato/Kushina/Naruto and Naruto/Sasuke/Boruto in the Boruto movie. More on that here. And another post on their parallels here. And one more here.
Why does everyone think Tsunade regretted not exploring romantic side of her relationship with Jiraiya? There was never none of that shit in the manga. Just because she was sad of losing him does not equal to romantic feelings. But I guess anything to have more parallolz.
The video is just a long heteronormative cope. Which is as always, sad. Because Naruto and Sasuke's relationship is so intense and romantic and even many non-shippers see it.
