Allow me to go scorched earth catastrophic for a moment…
I hate to say it, but if fandom antis don’t grow out of it by the time they have kids, I fear they’ll abuse their kids over the fiction they consume or create.
Oh, they might hang up their fandom hat so they’re not an “icky adult” in fandom and go on to live a boring, hateful life until they find out their child is shipping a pairing that’s “bad” in all the ways fandom antis say ships are bad.
Imagine the hypocrisy of ruining a child’s life because you think the fiction they consume “promotes abuse.”
They would. I have no doubt that adult fandom antis who go on to have kids without getting out of being antis will abuse their kids.
Then they’ll come online and cry that their child is a proshipper and other adult anti parents will tell them to destroy the kid.
And that scares me.
