2019 is the year we finally shit on sasuke uchiha 💅🏼☕️

I'm at the part of Shippuden where Sasuke And Itachi are fighting in their weird little matrix infinite layer genjutsu thing and finding out about the Uchihas is all good and well but I caught something I don't think I did before. Itachi killed his family to steal Sasuke's eyes in the long run and I hate Itachi about as much as I hate Sasuke but there's something that makes me angry with Sasuke as a character: Itachi told Sasuke that he killed his family to make Sasuke resent him and try to get revenge on him and Sasuke followed that track of mind. Sasuke, as a character, already had a lot of failed potential with how Kishimoto wrote him, and I dislike Sasuke for a lot of his faults, but it makes no sense from a writing standpoint to make Sasuke's entire story about his revenge. If Sasuke really wanted to get revenge on Itachi and follow his plan of making Itachi suffer, it would make no sense for Sasuke to do EXACTLY what Itachi wanted. He could've gone about so many paths to make his brother suffer, the best being he grows stronger than him and lives his life without giving Itachi the satisfaction of trying to kill him like he wanted in the first place and just, finds joy in the people that love him. Sasuke was a great character at the beginning of jump, but Kishimoto Made him jump the shark so much I don't even think Kishimoto understands what revenge is, and it's going to be another reason why I think Kishimoto Is a bad writer, and at the end of the day, Sasuke was the biggest victim of it because of Kishi's grandeur ideas of wanting this self insert character who's so op and so "different" and "cool" that he destroyed the foundation of that character beyond repair.

Y'all: she stalked Sasuke at the age of 12 🤪🤪 how problematic! She is so boring and has done nothing with her life!! She has to be saved because she's so weak !!🤪🤪

You know what I hate the most about Sasuke Uchiha?

The wasted potential. In the beginning of jump Sasuke was a true rival to Naruto, and he was a problematic character but he was screaming for a redemption arc: he deserved it. There are episodes where I genuinely enjoyed him, but after the episode where Naruto and Sasuke trained to channel their chakra by running up trees the writer completely stripped that option from his character. He fucking sucked from the get go, sure, but he had so much potential and what I hate most about Sasuke Is that the writers completely rejected that thought and solidified him as an awful person. He tries to kill Naruto. He knocks Sakura out. He completely abandons everyone and tells his supposed best fucking friend that he has no right to say Sasuke needs to get it together because Naruto never had a family. The writers purposefully chose that Sasuke would never be a good person, would give himself to orichimaru and try to kill everyone. They dug his grave and chose that path for him to go down. That's what I hate most ; when writers take characters with potential and ruin them, and then proceed to defend that character and praise him. To act like he's done nothing wrong. I hate Sasuke , but I hate the Naruto writers more for making me hate him when he could have been redeemed.
