Hayao Miyazaki is not a pioneer of feminist representation
In all Ghibli stories, girls and women possess conventionally feminine attributes. They have a cute voice and a shy demeanor. They are more in contact with the home or the forces of the spirit world, as if women are alien to human societies. They are either cooking or cleaning (Sophie as cleaning lady for Howl, Satsuki and Mei cleaning their new house in My Neighbor Totoro, Chihiro cleaning the bathhouse in Spirited Away, Kiki cleaning the room in Kiki’s Delivery Service, etc)
They are docile and emotionally dependent on men. If the boy doesn't get the girl, the girl gets the boy. That's not feminism. That's the liberal version of patriarchy. True feminism or subversion of gender roles is in the rejection of the "straight" lifestyle
"There's nothing wrong with love or falling in love"
There's nothing wrong with it, because you believe there's nothing wrong with it? Then there's everything wrong with it, because I believe there's everything wrong with it!
Ghibli may be less misogynistic than Disney, but it is important to recognize that there is progress to be made. The few times women fought for themselves doesn't erase all the flaws within Studio Ghibli
Straight people shouldn't be represented in the media. I don't want my children to grow up and think that they can be straight. The world's too populated and no one should contribute to that.
Straight people need to stop shoving their straight agenda down my throat.
Against so-called "mpreg"
Heteronormative ideology is pervasive and persistent, the unrelenting and insidious essence of which is further aimed at the public through a genre called "mpreg" that maintains limited, heterosexist roles (e.g. one becomes "pregnant" and another "impregnates")
So-called "mpreg" is "who’s the man and who’s the woman in the relationship" at its worst taking a nosedive. Whoever has an issue with the "seme/uke" trope, should have an issue with so-called "mpreg"
The "to-be-pregnant" character that is claimed to be a "man" is a woman, acts like a woman, yields to the "gender" roles that affect women and their perceptions of themselves and experiences what women experience. The character is in no way a man
So-called "mpreg" is not only homophobic, but also discriminatory against the childfree movement. Its "creators" and consumers can not fathom that one can build a happy, healthy relationship without "kids"
The lack of media and literature depicting gay relationships is an issue. And so-called "mpreg" and "futanari" rub salt into the wound. They are "straight" media and literature disguised as gay, and women’s "pregnancies" disguised as so-called "men’s pregnancies"
So-called "mpreg" and "futanari" should be banned as genres. No material, video, animation, comic, literature, game, etc, should depict such an abomination
To the people who accuse me of "kink shaming" them: my kink is kink shaming and you’d be shaming my kink. Why wouldn’t I shame yours?
To the people who appeal to seahorses, pipefishes, etc: https://imgur.com/UcmJi2Y
"Fish, reptiles, amphibians, and birds don't actually get "pregnant" in the sense that mammals do. In species with internal fertilization, the offspring is nourished entirely by the egg, not by either parent or a placenta, until it hatches. In fish and other species with primarily external fertilization (some fish are internal), the female lays eggs and "f*cks off" while the male deposits sperm and carries the eggs"
"The male does not produce a placenta or nourishment for the offspring and is therefore not pregnant, in the same way that if I carry around a hamster in my hands, I am not pregnant with said hamster, and if I carry gum in my mouth, I am not pregnant with said gum. The pouch is not the same as a uterus in structure or function. After hatching, offspring return to the pouch when confronted with a threat. Other male fish look after fertilized eggs in nests they've made or in their mouth. The nest is not pregnant, nor is the mouth"
The biologist takes the words out of my mouth. No male in any specie can become "pregnant"
The male seahorse or pipefish, for instance, has a pouch in which fertilized eggs are deposited. It’s not a womb. It’s like a bag. For something to be "pregnancy," the body of a female and placenta are required
Definition of "pregnancy": the time during which one or more offspring develops inside a female's womb
No male has a womb. What males experience can not be considered "pregnancy". And no, a male seahorse or pipefish has no womb or else it wouldn’t be a male. A womb is a female organ that a male can not have
The so-called "scientists" that claim a male seahorse or pipefish is "pregnant" use "pregnancy" as a metaphor. They are not literally "pregnant"
It's incorrect to use the term on non-mammals. They function differently in the area. Fertilized eggs residing in a pouch is not "pregnancy" as much as bacteria residing in male human guts doesn't mean every male human in existence is "pregnant"
To claim male pipefish, seahorse, etc are "pregnant" renders "pregnancy" meaningless. Anything would be "pregnant" in that case; including a coffee mug with a roach inside it. And that’s beyond ridiculous

"Transgendersim" and "heterosexuality" are abominations
In defense of "gay-baiting" and "fetishization"
Society: the lack of gay representation is homophobic!
Also society when there is gay representation: that's gay-baiting, fetishizing and homophobic!
"Gay-baiting" is a sign of progress. It's because gay representation has improved that producers, actors and idols are accused of "gay-baiting"
Heteronormative ideology dominates media and maintains social hierarchical structures that marginalize and exclude gay people at all sectors of society. Till the 90s, western industries had a set of guidelines that prohibited any inference to gay relationships. That was in the west!
Non-western countries are more conservative. Their producers have no choice but to "gay-bait." Gay relationships are hinted at and shrouded in visual cues so that the homophobic majority do not throw a fit. Noone wants their business going bankrupt
For now, "gay-baiting" is a necessary and intelligent marketing strategy that exposes the public to gay activities and relationships
We should be grateful some (e.g. OnlyOneOf) take it upon themselves to go beyond "gay-baiting"
"They are profiting off of the gay identity," you say. And? Society revolves around money. "Straight" media fetishizes and profits off of women and the "straight" identity. You should ban "straight" media first if fetishization and commercialization are your problems
"They are not gay themselves," you say. And? The point of acting is to perform roles representing characters that differ from one's own. Actors don't have to be e.g. doctors to act as e.g. doctors. Actors don't have to be gay to act as gay people
That said, "sexuality" is fluid. The "straight" identifying people who play gay roles might realize that they are not "straight." We should give them the chance to explore
Conclusion: stop gate-keeping gay media and roles
not to be controversial but can straight men grow a personality besides sports
antistraight replied to your post “nota bene”
Being an exclusionist isn't about excluding aces/aros. It's about excluding cishets
sorry, yes. i do agree, and i worded my post misleadingly, and it is my bad. i did not mean to imply that exclusionists are against aces/aros. i was trying to say the opposite - that exclusionists are focused on people who are actually cis and het regardless of whether or not they are ace or aro - but you are now one of several people to point out that i failed to express that, and i see your point and apologise for my error. i’m going to try to reword this
