YOU LEARN HOW TO BE THAT WAY. TO SHUT PEOPLE OUT, TO BE INVISIBLE. YOU LEARN IT…..

It’s 10:12PM and we have entered a n x i e t y h o u r s!!!! Time to obsess over all the mistakes I’ve made in my life, my purpose on this earth, and the fact that I’m getting older and will rapidly blow through the window in which I could have kids or y’know, make something of my life!
//that nervous moment where you know you sent an ask a day ago and now you’re wondering if it got eaten, but you’re nervous to ask because you don’t wanna be pushy aaaaa
I'm about to drive myself insane with trying to do what I'm "supposed" to be doing--looking for a job, trying to plan where I'm moving after my current lease is up. Just winding myself up and being miserable all day because I'm not doing enough or because there isn't a single job I can find that I'm qualified for when the truth of the matter is that just because I'll be completely vaccinated soon doesn't mean everything's immediately going back to normal. My industry isn't looking to have "normal" back until next year probably. I really need to just fucking chill, but I can't stop thinking that I'm almost 34 and I've never had a real job. And I know that comes off as undervaluing the arts and whatever but I also have mad imposter syndrome that I cannot seem to shake.
I want to be able to just work on fun projects to try to develop more skills but I feel like it's pointless cause I'll just bad at it--like I have to be near perfect at something the first time I do it or I'm a failure. I thought grad school could help me with this but honestly it just made it worse.
I didn't intend to type out this much. Maybe it's time to start writing in my journal again just to get all the feels out there cause bottling it up inside is obviously not a great way to deal.
