could anya have learned english/japanese (or whatever the official ostania/westallis language is) as a second language, with her first language being unknown/‘old world’ ? this could explain why she ‘mispronounces’ words like outing (ooting).

i’m sure the author/translators probably didn’t intentionally think of that, but i just want to know anya’s deal lol

ok wait i have like 700 more followers than I did this time last year (HELLO, oh my god. so many of you. thanks for hanging out with me<3) so let me post the context to me spilling the tea in my last two posts lol.

last february i, anya greghatecrimes, moved to florida. i got my first full time job and moved in with one of my best friends. then i started getting mysteriously sick for no discernable reason. and then everything exploded (i kept going anaphylactic to stuff i wasn't allergic to) and we found out there was toxic black mold in the house i'd moved into 😃 and it triggered two genetic disorders i didn't realize i had. yay! so i moved in with my uncle for a month, found a new apartment with my best friend, got referred to the fuckin' mayo clinic, and had to take so many antihistamines to stop my reactions that i was literally sedating myself every day. all while working a full time job.

as you saw below that job was awful and it did not end well lol. tl;dr: they hired me for a different job than the one i applied for, turned down my ada accomodations, and retaliated at me for being sick and applying for ada in the first place. i could tell my supervisor was basically trying to get me fired for being sick and needing help/struggling to keep a normal workload (the pettiest of these things being that she tried to write me up for the way i signed my name on documents, lmao) so i thankfully found a new job that is amazing with a great boss and i just get to be left alone with my spreadsheets all day <3 and i don't have to sedate myself anymore. i have better and different meds now for controlling reactions

also this one isn't required context, but i have a wife. i love her so much. we're ldr but hopefully closing the distance at the end of the summer. (i only say 'hopefully' because i'm a bit... compulsive with some superstitions and I don't want to jinx anything lol) and that's the context for my prior-job-tea-spilling if you're new here lol

I strongly admire the fact that Thirteen cheated on her highschool boyfriend with his sister. Don't ask why

if i had actually dated in high school i think i would have managed to accidentally do what Thirteen did. Why accidentally? Because I was a stupid cradle catholic lesbian who got told “oh, everyone wants to hold hands with their girl best friends, that’s platonic!” (and that’s a whole other story). so yeah, if I dated, I totally would have dated a dude and then ended up being way closer with his sister (who I would’ve probably called my “best friend” despite the friendship being one of those teenage sapphic friendships that’s sort of dating but sort of not.)

also: super ironically there was a guy in high school who repeatedly asked me out (like, every fall and spring for YEARS like clockwork. it got creepy), and a few years before this started happening I had been best friends with his twin sister. Looking back on that, I definitely had a crush on her. and she ended up coming out as gay after we graduated, too. So I guess I did the opposite of Thirteen. I “baby gay best friend dated” his twin sister and then later, after his sister and I drifted apart (not for any reason, just didn’t have classes together), turned him down repeatedly and lied about having a boyfriend to get him to leave me alone LMFAO

LOVE Anya’s design omg!! I’m curious, if they were in one of the games, what would their Pokemon battle quotes be? Things like victory, defeat, their Pokemon landing a super effective hit, their Pokemon taking a super effective hit, Pokemon on low HP, Pokemon fainting, low HP victory, stuff like that?
