––––––––––––FINGERS LIGHTLY RAN down the other’s spine as charles pulled them in close to his chest. soft, almost chaste kisses pressed against their shoulder, he tightened his arms around them, breaking the silence that had so easily surrounded them. ‘ you know you can always talk to me. ‘m not gonna judge you. ’

“I just wanted to say thanks for coming with me. I’m sure you had more important things to do.” It was his parents wedding anniversary, and as they did every year, they threw a pretty big party with a few hundred people. Even amidst preparations for Alien’s new comeback, he knew that he had to show up at the event like he always did. He and his father still hadn’t completely resolved their issues from the past, but he would definitely be scolded if he didn’t attend. Plus, he loved his mother far too much to bail on an event. Siwon hadn’t seen her in months, and he wanted to spend some time with her before he was thrown back into a whirlwind of schedules and promotions. He adjusted his collar, looking at his reflection through the window of the car they had arrived in. He didn’t plan on staying for too long, just a few hours. No longer than two. He knew that his father would have been glad (or as glad as an uptight ahjussi could be) if he saw that Siwon had brought another idol with him. What was better than having one idol at an event? Two. “Are you sure you want to go in? There’s only going to be a bunch of my father’s colleagues and other stuffy, important big wigs. It’s not going to be a good time.”

It had been a tough year, full of events and changes. It had taken a long time for her to get back on her feet, an entire year to be more precisely. An entire year and a dog. She had been transfered from the Ministry back to the Academy not long ago and now she was in charge of most part of the physical training for the new recruits, so naturally, she had to be in shape for that.
It was one of those days where she had stayed at her flat in London. Ever since her kidnap, Marlene had been sleeping most of the time back at the McKinnon manor, but right now, she was getting out of her flat with her dog hazel trailing behind her. “Alright, let’s go” she mumbled as the smoke came out of her mouth. It was freezing and Christmas was just around the corner.
Marlene started jogging towards the park near her house as her dog ran alongside her. She did three laps around the park and finally stopped by a bench to stretch out. She liked going out for a run every now and then, it helped to clear out her mind and to think things.
Right now her mind was on Christmas presents, but she quickly snapped out of it as Hazel barked once and sprinted away.
“HAZEL!” She groaned and ran towards the dog. It wasn’t normal for her to leave her side, so she panicked for a moment until she saw her getting some belly rubs. Marlene couldn’t help but to roll her eyes. Of course she would do that.
“Hazel come on, you are not supposed to do that” she groaned as she stopped on her tracks. “I am so sorry, I hope she’s not bothering you” she said, pushing her hair away from her face without really looking at the person.

“I mean, I knew I was going to win best hair,” Sirius said matter of factly. “It’s not like there was any competition. But I am wondering who voted me for most dramatic,” he frowned, looking down at the pages of the book.

Whoever thought that making Connie a prefect was a good idea was certainly out of their mind. She lacked of any type of authority and hated confrontation. What the hell was she supposed to do if she caught someone out of bed past curfew? Honestly it was ridiculous. However, she was good with helping people, particularly with younger students, so that part of the job wasn’t nearly as bad as it could be.
She had just finished her rounds, so technically, she wasn’t on prefect duty anymore. She was on her way back to the Ravenclaw Tower when she heard a noise and cursed internally as she stopped on her tracks. A few seconds later, she saw a figure turning to her corridor and she sighed tiredly.
“You shouldn’t be out of your common room” she said to whoever this person was. “It is way past curfew” she added, not noticing how her prefect badge was shining brightly.

It seemed that after killing her father, something had changed in her, something dark and relentless was triggered. The nice girl she used to be was far gone and instead, this was a new version of herself: a vicious and bloodthirsty woman. The more she killed, the more fullfilled she felt, the more her victims screamed, the better she felt with herself. It was as if all the anger that she had been bottling up ever since she was a little girl was now coming up in the worst of ways.
And here she was, admiring all the chaos that she had created with the wave of her wand: buildings on fire with people trapped insid with no escape, three dead Aurors and two hit wizards a few meters away from her in the puddle of their own blood. Behind her mask, her big eyes widened rather impressed at the sight. It was like a work of art, really.
That’s when she heard a crack and looked up as her slender fingers stroke her own wand, noticing that she might have to wait a bit longer to cast the dark mark up in the sky.
“Good evening” she greeted the new person.
