James laughed shaking his head, “No, I don’t think I’m that interesting to be spy upon.” he admitted with another laugh, “Maybe Mark is spying on me to see where I keep the treats so he doesn’t have to steal yours.” it was a stupid idea, silly really, but it made him laugh.
“Oh I have that one in my calf, there was a nail in the frame of the window and… well it wasn’t pretty but it was a brill concert.” he admitted with a smile then chuckle, “Yes, every time, they still do.” he said proudly and then shrugged, “I don’t know, I hate sitting on waiting rooms so I might, just to safe time.” he didn’t know what he would do in that case, it was more a joke than anything, “But all the reasons are sappy, I like fixing things and I like making people feel better, it seems like the perfect fit.”
“Well, I don’t know that” she hummed, wiggling her eyebrows playfully. “Nah, he just really likes pissing me off” she chuckled and tucked a string of her hair behind her ear. SHe then bit her bottom lip and looked up at him, trying to repress a large grin.
Once inside the coffee shop, Marlene walked to a table next to the window. “Well, the are definitely sappy reasons, but they are also cute” she said as one of the waitress came with the menus. “I love this place, every single cake is delicious” she told him excitedly.

Marlene listened to him and then she understood the concept of it. It had to be something deep and emotional, nothing vain or superficial. Quidditch, as much as she loved it, it didn't really feel her with joy or was strong enough to make her not be depressed. "Oh... okay, okay, got it" she nodded and closed her eyes, trying to think of something and the first thing that came to her mind were her grandparents. They passed away a few years ago and it had been a low blow to her, but Marlene had nothing but joyful memories. "Okay, I'm ready to do it again" she nodded and gripped her wand tightly. She thought about her grandparents, about the sunday lunches with the entire family. A few seconds later, she pronounced the words. Her wand vibrated on her hand anv before she knew it, a flash of white light came out of her wand.

Tiberius knew Bob like he knew himself, they were different and they took different life choices but when he saw his brother as he woke he knew Bob was pissed and it wouldn’t go away that easily; not even if was worried; but he didn’t want to fight with Marlene any longer, he didn’t want to fight with anyone.
After he finished throwing up he thought that Marlene would call a nurse or something, not that she would take matters into her own hands, “You don’t have to do that.” he tried arguing but she was already done and all he could do was grab some water from the nightstand. “Thank you.” he said quietly feeling cold and sweaty even though he knew there was no fever.
Marlene wanted to snuggle, he couldn’t remember the last time they did that, was it before her family died? was it after when he couldn’t see up from down? It was weird to think of a time they weren’t close when one or the other needed it. “I’m not sure I’ll be that comfortable.” between the shivers and the cold sweat he felt terrible, yet he moved to give her some space.
Marlene had taken care of wounded men and women, she had to stitch herself and Matt had thrown up on her at least three times, so Tiberius throwing up wasn’t going to scare her away. Clearly he was also tired of nurses, so she simply did the only reasonable thing to do.
“You’ll be surprised about the places where I’ve laid down” she replied, her lips curving into a playful smirk. She took off her cloak and then carefully sat down on his ed and then laid down, resting her head against his. He was sweaty but she didn’t care. Marlene closed her eyes and took his hand, lacing their fingers together. “I am sorry I left” she said quietly. “I should’ve been here...” she murmured. “But I am here now and I’m not going anywhere and I’m going to try to fix this, okay?” She meant it. She was going to try and do right by Matt and what was left of her family.
But really and truly, you should fuck off. Now.

James laughed and nodded, “I’ll ask him, I’m sure he has more stashes around, we can’t live without cheat days, but he’s a pain when he wants to.” He liked Mark but sometimes he was too obsessed with the winning, which he knew he could be as well.
“MI5 huh? so are you turning spy on me?” he teased as they walked, it wasn’t a big secret, Mark already told him about Mr McKinnon and it was nice to see that his siblings were as proud of his father as Mark was. “I always liked the idea of becoming a doctor, Dad is sort of a chemist and I spend more of my childhood in ED’s getting me fixed after I managed to wiggle into somewhere I wasn’t supposed to; lots of broken bones and cuts from exploring experiences.” he chuckled letting her know it was just kids stuff, “The doctors were always kind to me, they were great, so were the nurses, and I thought I wanted to do something like that.” he admitted, “Also it wouldn’t be half bad if I can sew my forehead in every football accident, less bills to pay.”
“He definitely has them, and when he runs out of those he steals mine” she said before rolling her eyes and shook her head in disbelief. “Not everyone who works for the MI5 are spies” she giggled. “Or maybe they are and you are being spied on, Mr. Potter” she joked, wiggling her eyebrows playfully.
“Ah, I know all about that” she nodded and rolled up one of her sleeves to show him a scar that she had nearby her wrist. “I was trying to sneak out from hom to go to a concert” she chuckled. “Aww, did they give you lollipops and everything?” She teased playfully before making a face at what he said of stitching his own forehead. “God, would you do that?” She asked, scrunching up her face.

Tiberius knew all of that, he knew that the McKinnons were tortured before they were murdered and that thought haunt him every day since the news. His beautiful sister all twisted in pain and blood was part of the nightmares that followed him every night. He knew Marlene was having a worst time, that other people were worse than him, but the feeling that the world would be better if they didn’t have to worry about him any longer.
“I’m pretty sure Bob hates me.” he replied softly feeling his hands shake and the nausea hit him in waves at Marlene’s words. His head was about to explode and his heart raced but he couldn’t inconvenience Marlene more than he already had, she needed someone that would make things be better, not him and his sickness and negativity; which made his anxious stomach twist again.
The lawyer was about to reply something else but the only thing he could manage was to grab the pan from the side table and empty the little content in his stomach; mostly vile and water, everything else was emptied before he had woken up by his body and the doctors. “S’rry.” he mumbled cleaning his lips with the back of his shaky hand.
“No one hates you, they are all worried, just like you would’ve been if the tables were turned” she said knowingly. “I know you won’t believe me, but I promise you it’s true, no one hates you, we just want you to get better so we can try to move on in the best way that we can” she said softly, right before he ended up throwing up. Marlene didn’t make a face like she usually did, instead she approached to him and once he was done, she took the pan and walked to be bathroom so she could clean it.
When she returned to the bedroom, she placed the pan back on it’s place and waved her hands. “Alright, make some room for me” she said as she took off her cloak. “You and I are going to snuggle” she said as a matter of fact, using that tone of her that didn’t admit a ‘no’ for an answer. “It’s been months and we both need it” she added as she waited for him to move.

That was a bit of a dumb question, considering Lily had to force herself not to gag as they popped! into existence in front the McKinnon’s property. Apparition was her least favorite way to travel – she honestly didn’t know why they couldn’t just use Floo powder. It would have saved them the hassle, plus she wouldn’t be feeling slightly ill. Lily squeezed in after the blonde, the gate letting out a rusted shriek as it closed behind her.
“Let’s go it on foot, yeah? Bit of fresh air’ll do us both good. And, it gives your mum a bit of time to erm – contain her excitement you’re home.” She loved Mrs. McKinnon, she did, and would be forever grateful towards the whole family for immediately taking her in. But she still remembered Mrs. McKinnon bursting into tears when Marley told her she was moving to London.
The reason why they hadn't used the floo network was because her apartment didn't have a fireplace for it and since they would've have to apparate somewhere else to use it, they might as well apparate at home. "Sure thing" Marlene nodded and tapped her wand against the gates so the protective enchantment would be lift up again. Her family was one of Voldemort's main targets: they were purebloods, they were like a million and they had power. Her father was a powerful man in the Law Enforcement Department, one who wouldn't hesitate on putting anyone behind bars. The McKinnons were the family Voldemort would've done anything to have on his side, but he didn't.
Marlene chuckled as she started walking. "There's no such thing, I bet you anything she had prepared all your favorites and made sure to check our bedrooms at least five times. "With most of my siblings out of the house and Ben still at Hogwarts, I think she feels quite lonely, you know? I mean, she has her job at St. Mungo's and she's doing great, but she had always been surrounded by people. I reckon it must be hard for her" she explained.
