went to a lovely bookstore today local and queer but unfortunately a bit out of the way bc i took the free bus there and back means i had to walk from bus stop to the shop and on the way back i went a different way and found the other aldi ive not been to yet which is nice bc it is a nicer bigger aldi and it was an adventure walking to the bus stop bc i basically walked the opposite way of the way i came so like a backway sort of thing i didnt rly know where i was going bc i hadnt walked that way before so i found the aldi on accident and ofc i went inside to buy some things bc there are always things to buy especially when aldi u can find items for under £1 even
but where i live is quite a circular city so like i trusted that i would get to where i was going and i did bc it’s just like walking on the other side of the circle lmao
anyways the queer bookshop had a cool deal where if u donate a queer book they will give u £2 off a new book purchase in store that day
so i donated my thrifted copy of Boyfriend Material (book #1) for a new copy of Father Material (book #3)
and i had looked it up online so i knew it was supposed to come with a signed component but i had to ask for it when i paid for it bc it wasnt a signed book so they had to collect it from behind the desk lol
bc sometimes u love a book so much u need the physical copy to reread and highlight ur fav parts!!!
“You’re a diamond in the ruff
Alexis Hall (idk why the A looks like a Y” but anyways now i have something signed by my fav author included with a book i got for only £10 (and the proceeds from the book donations (they will sell) will be donated to a queer local charity!!!! yay pride month things
RUFF like dog bc there is a dog in this book and the audiobook narrator did dog barks/whines etc and they sounded SO realistic it was incredible i loooooove audiobooks!!!!!!
