When Marcille, premier Alterra scientist, realizes that her experiments on an alien virus have turned her field researcher, Falin, into a Sea Dragon Leviathan chimera, Marcille goes rogue, fleeing to an ocean planet with Falin’s brother Laios and a con artist named Chilchuck.
There, they meet a stranded chef who assists them in eating the local fauna on their way deeper to the planet’s volcanic core.
Pursued by The Canary Enforcers and Chief Compliance Officer Kabru, the four of them will stop at nothing to find Falin and cure her, even if it meets facing the Mad Architect, the last survivor of the alien species that first let the virus loose through the planet’s waters.
