I do find that Aoibheall has a sense of humor, at least once she's decided she likes you (which she did decide admit me eventually, though that continues to baffle me somewhat) - but also her whole court seems to have a pretty straightforward and open relationship to sexuality. But then, most of the Fair Folk have no shame around pleasure, in my experience! It's just a weird human hangup, from their perspective.

I wish there was more resources of other people who follow these deities because sure Loki has a big following but the others are more obscure and I can only find stuff about them in books by a few people. I want a community of other followers to talk to and share experiences with.

Will Someone Please Describe This Fairy Statue with Cat Statue?

Even though I have a few good statues of Fairy Women with Cat statues favorited on My Etsy account, I decided to look on Amazon, and see what They had to offer. So far, the one that intrigues me the most is this one. If Anyone has a moment, I ask You to please describe this statue for Me, tell Me what You think about it, and let Me know if the Fairy in question is a Fairy Woman or not, as the vague and sparse description on the listing doesn't specify that information. I'm looking to pick up a statue of Aoibheall, and since I can't find one made specifically for Her, She's willing to let Me get a statue of a Fairy Woman that includes a Cat to represent Her.

I made my alter for Aoibheall. Maybe ignore the art? It’s not necessarily involved, I just put it there as a temporary spot but it felt right at the time. The mini casserole dish is my cauldron because fairies don’t like iron. Above it I have stones I’ve collected, some shells, a feather, and a tiger’s eye tower. Next to that on the left is a black ceramic cauldron which I’ll use for offerings (it’s not for cauldron because I wanted a flat surface and more space). Below that is a candle holding lantern. On the other side is a small black cat sitting on a moon sculpture (very small and hard to see). My first commitment ring with my partner. A lizard made out of ceramic. A purple manual wheelchair to represent me(my first wheelchair was purple). And the jar on the end is a protection spell for the house since this is near our threshold. The alter cloth has a fox on it and Fox is part of my name.

My Lá Fhéile Aoibhill were Rushed

I came so close to missing out on celebrating Lá Fhéile Aoibhill this year despite planning it all out and setting several alarms to keep Me on track. I did end up doing something small for it, so close to the end of the Lunar Day that I only had about seven minutes or so to spare.

Naturally, Aoibheall wasn't happy about this, and She ended up scolding Me for a good twenty minutes while giving Me a message for the occasion. I asked Her and She assured Me that it was a success, but She wants Me to do better next year.

I have no excuse for why I almost missed celebrating Lá Fhéile Aoibhill for the first time. All I'm willing to say is that things got crazy in the week leading up to Lá Fhéile Aoibhill , that I almost forgot to celebrate it altogether.

Unboxing a Couple of Goodies

I just opened up a couple boxes of things I bought recently. One box had the statue I bought to represent Aoibheall, while the other box had a bowl and Quaich, both made of Cow horn.

Despite being as gentle as I can be, the wings on the back of the statue for Aoibheall broke off the moment I pulled the statue out of the weird styrofoam wrapping that felt more like gauze than anything else. On one hand, I wasn't a fan of the wings on Her back anyway, as I hate tthe fact that almost every Fairy statue out there seems to have wings. On the other hand, I hate breaking anything. Thankfully the statue is great despite the wings braking on Me. Also, I love the fact that Her little Cat also has wings, it makes Me think of Tressems from the Forgotten Realms.

The biggest disapointment of the day came when I pulled the offering bowl and Quaich out of the box. While the bowl is slightly shallower than I would like, it's fine enough for Me to use with little to no issue. The quaich on the other hand is terrible. While it's big enough to pour liquid in it and drink out of it, You can't put much into it at all. It's far to small for true practical use, and I'm probably going to replace it as soon as I can. Also, it didn't come with actual handles on the side, just little tabs that made Me think of a measuring cup.
