love the parallels between the season 1 poster and the season 4 poster but there is one itty bitty issue, i fixed it though don’t even worry <333

i was gonna redraw the whole poster but then i actually started drawing it and realized i did not in fact want to do that

ok i have said this before but it annoys me so bad that the posters for season 1 and season 4 literally mirror eachother so well, and so obviously, that everyone and their mother points it out and are all "god isayama is such a genius for this" like yeah okay but when are we gonna talk about how it's not a perfect mirror BUT IT COULD HAVE BEEN if he hadn't killed off bertholdt just bcs poor reiner was his "favorite character"

now i know i am also suffering from the "i want to save my favorite character syndrome" with this but idc idc nobody is perfect (except bertholdt obviously)

sorry it's getting away from me. WHAT I'M TRYING TO SAY IS just. put aside your love for reiner for whatever reason that exists and imagine the story that could be told if bertholdt had lived instead. The Colossal Titan who, had been painted as the "big bad" of the show since season one. it would have been a much more liberating switch and i am definitely not biased about that.
