AP tanks do they com with a light? Trying to figure out how on a staked one it works out. Nothing on the sight really tells much of how the suet up works. I do know it needs to be put together tho. But other than that any tips or anything would be great!
Yes, you can order a light to be included with the cage, they have fluorescent bulbs with an on/off switch on the housing, so you can simply reach into the cage and turn it on, eg when cleaning. Or you can have it on all the time and use a timer to power it if your snek needs a specific light cycle.
I have a whole tag about the AP Cages right here, talking about assembly and other stuff. It does help to have a second person, just to align the stuff when pieces are still just floating about.
Manufacturing quality is such that everything will fit tightly and precisely, like Legos. Holes pre-drilled, grooves cut precisely where they need to be, etc.
When you’re buying a smaller cage (under 5 ft in any dimension), it’s perfectly easy to deal with. Once you get to the larger sizes, you have to assemble it someplace from where you can move it to the room where the snake will be housed. Narrow corridors and sharp turns make Rocky’s eight-footer hard to maneuver, and some rooms, we couldn’t get it out of, like at all. But that’s an edge case.
