K/T superhero AU

1. Kaner has powers, but Jonny doesn’t. Jonny’s costume is way fucking better though. Dear god. Kaner’s first costume is reminiscent of Discowing. 

2. Kaner thought he was a normal kid until he moved to Detroit for hockey. Then shit started going very, very wrong. Moving shit with his mind, breaking stuff, for a month, every Saturday he woke up in his bed back home. His parents were so angry. Why was he running away from Verbeek? How was he even getting home or into the house? Why did he keep claiming he could move things with his mind?

There went his hockey career. Also his relationship with his family.

3. Jonny’s parents died in a car accident. A ninja cult, recognizing his athletic talent, kidnapped him and indocrinated him. He only managed to escape when he was 15. He’s been using the skills they taught him to fight crime.

4. They started protecting Chicago around the same time when Jonny went to U Chicago for Grad school and Patrick started up his under grad there. They’ve yet to figure out that Jonny is Patrick’s french TA. 

5. They’ve totally hooked up as their alteregos. But the thing is? Patrick’s really kind of dreaming for his stupid French TA. Likewise for Jonny. That kid in the horrible costume with the telekinesis that keeps helping him out is adorable, but his sassy undergrad who can’t conjugate a verb for shit. That’s the one that Jonny thinks about in the shower.

Omg. Bent Justice, the Angel/Spike prison au fic by Kat B. That thing was 230,000 words. Won’t ever get those hours of my life back, that’s for sure, lol.

Both have their place! Gentle sex, I think, is harder to write in a way that’s interesting. 

39. Favorite AU fic?

Y U DO THIS? Probably the Kirk/Spock story Once Upon A Time (A Fairy-Tale Lovestory) by littlebirdtold. It’s pretty silly, but I have reread that fic like 30 times.

5. What’s the very first film you remember watching?

The Little Mermaid. I owned it and watched it every weekend at my dad’s house (my parents divorced when I was two). My nanny apparently took me to see it in theaters, but I admit not to remembering that.

6. A Film You Wished You Hadn’t Watched?

Good lord. Mostly a better question is what movies do I wish I hadn’t paid for. Avatar, 10,000 BC, Haywire, Green Lantern, ugh no the Green Hornet.

I didn’t pay for Battlefield Earth, but dear god do I regret seeing that. Zardoz? I was banging a guy in my program who said this movie was epic. Orgasms are the only explanation for why I could possibly be enticed to watch that HORROR.
