HEY!

I started this blog because I decided it was time I got back into writing! I used to love writing when I was younger, excelled in english writing fictional and non fictional pieces and loved doing it. So here is a short background on myself;

19years old. From Melbourne Australia. I'm a Personal Trainer and have been for 1.5 Years. Fitness saved my life. I found fitness after 4 years battling with depression and anxiety and losing myself through toxic relationships and destructive activities. I decided to turn my life around. I got a membership to a gym and signed up to do my PT course with initially no intention of becoming a PT I just wanted to know how to use the gym and do something that would keep me motivated to continue it. 6 months later I completed my course and got my first job as a trainer a Genesis Gym. I worked there for 5 months and quickly learned this industry is as hard as it is rewarding. The turn over rate for PTs is a shocking 6months! In this industry you only get out what you put in! Like the training itself you can't  cheat and expect results. You can't do no work and expect clients fall into your lap! You have to go out there and find the people that need your help! They aren't going to come to you 100% of the time. I left Genesis end of 2013 and moved to begin training at Goodlife in early 2014. Here I met amazing PTs all committed to fitness and passionate about their career. As a PT you will also come to realise the course is a great BASE for your career, you do 90% of your learning actually working as a Personal Trainer and working with other Trainers. Its only from working with other trainers at Goodlife I have discovered a love for Powerilfting and Strength and Conditioning Training and last year got my Metabolic Nutritionist and Transformation Specialist. I plan this year on completing Level 1 Powerlifting Coach Course and Level 2 & 3 Metabolic Precision Certificate which will expand my knowledge of Strength and Conditioning and Olympic lifting for myself and my clients! I am now working out of a Personal Training Studio Vic Fit Factory running Metabolic Precision Transformations and ICE group sessions and loving it! Like I said... The more work you put into your career in this industry the more you will get out of it.

Follow along this blog for my ramblings on anything and everything health and fitness related that inspires or irritates me and hopefully I can help people with any questions they may have about their programs, nutrition or if they want to try anything new in their training.
