what would you have done, in my place?
NOTHING LIKE A CROCODILE'S SMILE.
"I mean, I would not have allowed Zovariy to live."
When it came to matters of the social and the interpersonal, Two knew that he had all the grace of a bull in a china shop. The fine-line between intersocial elegance and rote factual recitation was all but nonexistent to him. If he could, he would speak in a series of hissing numeric sounds and keens. Would be far more convenient than speaking in these lilting phonemes and verbal glyphs.
So, effectively, it means he has to figure out how to navigate this. He's never been good at delicacy, let alone with someone he loves.
"I think you allowing them to live was a moment of indescribable vulnerability that's, respectfully, coming back to bite you in the ass," Two answers, and his mind screams at him several times on loop. WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU DOING? "I know why you did it, it was sentimentality. You can't help it- neither can I. It's why we are alive. But..."
His fingers tapped the loose wire against his elbow- an anxious habit of worrying at his internals. He'll pull out a piston one of these days because of it.
"If I had the chance to execute Five back then, I would've done it. If I was there, I would've probably killed Zovariy. But that's me. I don't..."
With a soft scoff, his lips crease together, and he goes silent.
