Corsica (Ancient Alalia) is the son of Etruria and Carthage (never ask him how. It's a sensitive subject for him). He was born in the 7th century BC, and his parents, unlike his siblings, took him on their adventures throughout the Mediterranean. As a result, he made many friends across the continent, like Murcia! (a future protégé of Carthage).

For centuries, Corsica thought Murcia must be some kind of god who spat out bronze coins as gifts for his most devoted followers. A couple of centuries later, already under Roman rule, Florence told him the truth about Murcia: that he wasn't a god of metals who spat out coins, but a bronze-addicted gambler like any other. Corsica spent a week crying in his room after that. It was the equivalent of finding out who Santa Claus is. Nevertheless, they have maintained their friendship and remain good friends today.

On the other hand, after romances with human women (and some nations) throughout the Italian peninsula, Etruria met his last lover: Carthage. He was one of his favorite lovers, only behind his first wife, Alba Silvia. Together they conquered Corsica, established new trade routes and conquered territories belonging to Ancient Greece. Shortly after seizing these Greek territories, Romulus (Rome) killed him and took his culture, children and territories, which he molded to his liking. Hence, a devastated Carthage, driven by the loss of his lover, decided to start the Second Punic War, but we'll discuss that in another post.
